tanks are a pain.

BF rda FTW! :D
They can be at first, definitely a little bit of a learning curve and every rta is different, but once you get it, you can enjoy . I just couldn't imagine dripping tbh, that just seems to be the real pain imo...maybe years ago there was some truth in RDA flavor being best, but now rtas are on par imo. I dont know, but dripping seems like cave man vaping, so like 6 years ago stuff, but to each their own, it's all good

Vaseline? Yuk! There is a food safe silicone grease that may be an alternative.?

Hi r77r7r. Food safe is not inhalation safe, but vaseline degrades my o-rings. Do you think a silicone intimate lubricant might also work? I was pondering the idea for a while. The adult fun store across from my work has an offer going on on this Swedish pharma grade stuff. I would imagine that this lubricant that has been designed to be in contact with mucous membranes for a period of time might be even safer?

OP: The Ctulhu 1928 is one of the best entries into MTL on a budget. It's extremely versatile and allows for tight MTL all the way through to restricted DTL. Definitely worth a try. I bought it last year and it has been my daily vape ever since. Even ordered two back-ups a few months back. I might just order one more

yep, gennys are always bottom fed, no squonking necessary

no what I mean is there are squonkable gennys like the Nextera from VWM and the Pyrogeyser by noname.I wish they made more squonkable gennys, they wick much better than conventional gennys.

I thought perhaps you might be talking about that, but didnt know they did that. I have heard of the nextera and love noname but had no clue...are the mesh wicks still in a vertical position?

yes they are. but the wick is much shorter so they wick faster, I also build my wick around a 1mm bit, so there is a hollow tube in the center of the wick. when you squonk the juice travels up the center of the wick, and then out over the top of it, also when you squonk the juice travels out the fill hole in the deck of the atty and drenches about half the wick..it really is a big improvment on the conventional genny design.unfortunately so few people still vape with mesh wicks anymore there are not more atties like this.also a squonking genny doesn't cook the juice in the tank.

I definitely Remember the juice darkening in the old genny tanks, about the only negative I remember. I still have one genny tank I use , but for the most part use mtl rtas. Thanks for the info, might look into this

This is the best lubricant I've found. I already had it on hand, as I use it for my kegs. Food safe, highly durable, doesn't come off when rinsing tanks. Imparts no flavor or taste. Safe for all types of orings. Lifetime supply for $2.54. And yes- you should never use petroleum based lubricants on rubber, as they will destroy it.

Squonking juice up the center of the mesh tube is pure genius!
yeah, I've even done it with single coil BF drippers that have a velocity style deck., like the mulciber..I call it the volcano wick. I just build it so the hollow wick sits over the center of the squonk hole.

Thankyou to everyone, I was not getting notified of posts and thought my thread disappeared into the internet somewhere. so I actually got an aspire nautilus 25 and have been enjoying it so far, it is a massive drop from what I’m used to but already saving the juice. I think I might try out some of the single coil restricted lung rda next and keep playing with my Nic level in the nautilus before I branch into a rebuildable rta or rda. Thankyou everyone for the support
