Ok so I've got a multimeter and my cartomizer. NOW WHAT

I'm sure I'll eventually figure it out. One lead in bottom hole, one touching threads, turn dial to the goofy little ohm symbol and whalla I know what ohm my cartomizer is...........correct??

Sorry to sound like such an idiot, but with all the talk about using multimeters around here, us less engineeringly minded could probably use a basic guide on what to do with the multimeter to properly diagnose faulty equipment, battery health, etc.

Some kind of basic guide on how to test your goodies with the multimeter and what the readings can and can not tell you. Also any warnings that might ruin your multimeter or PV would be much appreciated.

Ouch another good reason for me to never go auto.

Should probably already be more familiar with multimeter, but dont regularly have any real use for them so never learned. Just trying to not be quite as destructive as I used to be since whatever I destroy I have to replace. Was always a lot of fun to dismember junk bits of this and that, but not eager to start my own ecig boneyard anytime soon.
