+1,000,000 Right on! Stevie is definitely a legend.
My first girlfriend was a guitar player who practically worshiped his work..Good times! :thumb:

Meola is AMAZING by the way!!

I regularly look at two sup subs on ECF. You have earned quite the rep from reliable folks. Congrats.

A quick history on Mr. di Meola. He was studying at Berklee in Boston, practicing 12+ hours per day.
Al and some other students went to a concert.
That group had lost its original guitar player and the replacement didn't fit the group's style.
One of Al's classmates sent the group Al's demo tape.
The band leader invited him to join. Al dropped everything, said his byes to friends and family and headed to the Big Apple.
The band leader was Chick Corea on keys, Bass man was Stanley Clarke, Lenny White on drums. All virtuosos.
One of the great fusion groups of all time --Return To Forever.
There's some nice closeups-

Thank you for that Progg! I love Biographies personally. Still excited about A&E creating a biography channel. It's so warming to know how people became the successes that they are today and to revisit the life they endured to make it so far in this world, makes it all well deserved.
Thank you for the congrats too!

Woo, NoFX! Love Fat Mike!

I haven't been all the way through this thread so I hope I'm not repeating a song but this song never fails to punch me right in the gut. I can't even put my finger right on what does it. Something about it covers how I feel about life, my relationship, and the world. I always end up tearing up near the end. It just tugs at me. I love it.

Thrice- "Artist in the Ambulance" YouTube - Artist In the Ambulance With Lyrics

I hope you enjoy it :)

Way cool Faerie! That is one cool song. It's so meaningful, I bet 2:36 is where it hits home, right?
Here's one that always hit home and can get pretty depressing if you let it.

You say you wanna leave me,
say you wanna be free
from everything you hate.
Get yourself together,
we'll always be together.
Love, you just can not rate.

Been so long since we hooked,
been so long since we took
time to get things right.
But I'll be here forever,
I'll lie to you forever.
Now, it doesn't look bright.

[Chorus:]
Nobody is killing more time than you and I.
Everybody's willing somehow to say goodbye.

I think we're getting used to,
used to be abused to.
Doubt is all there is.
We can not spread out wings out,
can not do a new thing.
Drought on what we miss.

When everything is falling,
it's like we both are crawling
around and around again.
Every fight is too long,
every word is too strong
Bound to end it all, but when?

The stalemate's on and what we had is dead and gone.
It's like we just don't care. We're going nowhere.

I wanna say goodbye. Yeah, I wanna say goodbye.
Goodbye to our big life lie, nothing's gonna be alright.
You know this is our best white lie. Nothing's gonna be alright.
Doesn't matter how we try, I wanna ask you why we can't let it die?
Even though we both have tried, you know I always question why.
Why we just can't let it die?

It's our big life lie.

That one touched me a bit Isaac . xoxo

Ian Anderson has written special songs about animals in his career; with Tull particularly on Heavy Horses.

A mature Ian's lyrical and musical tribute for a fallen friend. If you've lost a furry friend recently you might want to avoid this.

That really hit home Progg, Thank you. The wonders of music never ceases to amaze. I had black calico cat for atleast a decade. She was my best friend in the whole world. I could go into more details, but it's saddening.

So anyway, I been taking your lead and have found some great old school bands!
Mothers of invention, Dream theater, King Crimson. Just amazing.

Unrelated. Some good ol' fashion punk cures any woes ;)
