Hey guys, just seeing if anyone else out there has one of these Mutations on a single battery tube and what their favorite set up was. Cloud chasing is cool and all but with a single battery tube its gonna be a little tricky getting those "Dope ... Cloudzzzzzzz" hahah Im more into flavor chasin I guess!! Ive done single coils, dual coils, single parallel and dual parallel coils as well just to get better at making the coils myself. Im finally at a point where Im confident in my coil building so thats pretty cool but I dont see alot of people with this RDA on a Mech tube.

Oh and PICTURES OR IT DIDNT HAPPEN!!! :p

Whatever works for you @Jbreezy2015 -- I know a lot of folks seem to like the box mods but I prefer the tube style ones myself. That's part of the beauty of variety--there's something for everyone ;)

I built a dual twisted 26 Nichrome 80 at @.25 last night in my V3 for my Stingray X and it's doing the job just fine.

Right there with ya. I won't disclose the resistance of my build here in the newb section, but it is coiled with 26g Nichrome 80... dual parallel sleepers. I keep mine on a carbon fiber Knight mod... single 18650 tube. Heats up quick and the volumetric size of the cumulus cloud that thing spits out is quite flavorful when done correctly! Even my regulated mods are mostly tube shaped... the only mod that I have that isn't strictly a tube is my Invader Mini... LOL

@Sgt.Rock @Kaezziel yeah I really enjoy how clean my tube looks but after talking to some of the battery guys Im not sure how safe i feel going below .4 on my resistance with a single battery =/ I mean i was at .22-.25 for a while with dual parallels and that was hitting like a freaking champ. idk I just really need to ditch these efest batteries and get some of the VTC4s or 5s. I do think im gonna grab the BC Box Mods Triple 18650 Parallel Box mod tho. really diggin that look too!

@Jbreezy2015 You can definitely go below .4 on a single battery, but you need the right batteries. Either the VTC4's or the LG HB6 1500mAh 18650. The LG's are the only battery that is truly rated at 30A... Once my VTC's reach the end of their lives, I'll be picking up the LG's, myself.

I've never really liked the idea of running batteries in parallel because there is too much that can go wrong. You really have to pay attention to the battery's balance. Charge, discharge, drain... if one battery is draining faster than another, it puts stress that can cause catastrophic failure. I much prefer to stick with one battery and just build within the specs...

@Kaezziel I thought the Parallel was supposed to be safer than the series boxs?

Edit: also I thought the VTC5s were rated at 30 as well?

Yes, in theory. Parallel is capable of handling more amperage, but there are other issues to be concerned about. Like the ones that I mentioned earlier. You have to keep the batteries that you use for parallel set-ups continuously 'married'. Never use them separately in another mod. Rotate them positionally in your charging bays (number the batteries 1,2,3 etc, then charge them in different bays with each charge cycle 1-1,2-2,3-3 on one cycle 1-2,2-3, 3-1 on the next cycle etc...) if one cell becomes weaker than another then it could potentially over-discharge without you even noticing until it is too late. For me, personally, it's just too much to deal with when I can get a perfectly satisfying vape from a single battery tube. But as they say, YMMV...

@Hans Wermhat Yeah Ive seen some of his stuff. Where can you find the HB6's at? I can find the VTC4's and 5's but not those.

Edit: Syke!! I found some at LG HB6 18650 1500mAh 30A Flat Top Battery - IMRbatteries.com

LG HB6 at illumn.com Cheaper than where you found them, and I trust illumn... never bought from IMRbatteries before, so I can't vouch for them. Either way, $4.50 each at illumn... might as well get a bunch, because you'll swap out several times a day!

orbtronic is another good site.

It is, but they don't have the LG HB6's... LOL, that was the first place I looked, because they are usually my go-to source. Then I checked rtdvapor, and they didn't have them either... I'm guessing the LG's are cheap and don't sell well because of such a low mah rating.
