Yeah, hard to beat VTC's... orbtronic even has the 5's in stock. I picked up a couple of those for my Invader Mini. Gives me a little more life than the 4's. Definitely gonna pick up a handful of the LG's though for my 'cloud-chaser' set-ups... the VTC's have been holding up to them, but I know I'm exceeding specs by a little bit with some of my rigs... it'd be nice to have that extra little bit of cushion that the LG's give.

Yeah, the 5's have a higher mAh rating, but I think Mooch listed them at 20A CDR at best. The HB6's are the ones he calls a true 30A, but the mAh rating on them is super low. If you are going over 100W in a reg'd mod or below .25 ohms on a mech (which nobody around here does, right? ... ... ...), I would def stick with the 4's or the HB6's.

That's why I picked up the 5's for the Invader Mini... it's max current draw is 17A if I remember correctly. Waste of battery life for my 4's
Oh, no... I'd never run below .25 on my mechs.... just don't put my Mute X or my Derringer on an ohm meter... that Derringer/praxis combo is a beast. And both are copper... :D

No problem, man! Glad that we could guide you through part of the process... that's the main reason that I try to hang out here in the new member's forum. It's just my little way of trying to give back to the community and pass on the things I've learned along the way. Many things that are vape related are subjective and vary from person to person, but there are also a lot of things that are universal... battery specs are pretty much universal! LOL

If you haven't tried rayon for your wicks yet, that's the best I've found... that of course is subjective and debatable, but everyone else would be wrong... check out the rayon thread if you get a chance... Rayon Wick: Better Flow, Flavor, Saturation and Nic Hit

I'm a V1 cotton bacon guy myself. Lol!
That's one of the great things about vaping. There are a thousand choices for everything to customize the experience. Try new things. Play with it and see what feels good to you. Just keep your wicks wet and vape happy! :thumb:

LOL... and you, sir, are wrong... ;)
I'll be a hardcore rayonati 'till I die! (and thanks to the huge box of Sally's rayon, there'll still be some left!)
But yeah, you're absolutely correct. There is so much variety in our choices that if you can't dial in your vape to something that you like, then you just aren't trying hard enough...

LOL @Jbreezy2015 ... Well, I'm not gonna twist your arm or anything, but I've tried everything from tea bags (that's some old-school crap from back in the cartomizer days) to yarn... KGD cotton, cotton bacon and everything else I can think of... I still prefer rayon. It just wicks better and tastes cleaner to me.

I gotta find a new B&M. Last time I went in my old fave looking for wire they told me "Rebuilding is just too much trouble. You need to spend $150 on this new awesome subohm tank with $20 coils." Smdh... They used to be great, but one of the guys that worked there opened his own shop and took all the good employees with him. Still haven't found his shop, and of course they won't tell me at the old shop. Lol!

I can't wait til work is over, I'm picking up a nice mech for my mutation x v4. Right now I'm using it on a silver bullet lol. Kid at the cape shop didn't even know what it was. They love it when I bring in old school vape stuff for them to check out.

LOL... I was digging through my vape drawer the other day and found my old "Screwdriver MKII" mod... 18350 mech from way back before rebuildables... it used cartomizers. Screwdriver.jpg

Biggest thing you need to know about rayon is... stuff the crap out of the wick... it should be very tight inside the coil. Then trim the tails down to the point that you think it can't possibly be enough to actually work. And I mean very, very thin tails. Rayon collapses when wet, whereas cotton swells. You want enough rayon so that when it tries to collapse, you still have contact inside the coil. Check in on the rayon thread I linked earlier if you have any problems. JeremyR and the other guys/gals over there will definitely get you sorted out in no time.

Nope, it's actually a V2, I think... at least that's what it says on the front. If I remember correctly it's one that I picked up with a fasttech order, but I could be wrong there. I got it strictly because it was copper and matched my Knight mod. Gimme a sec and I'll grab a family pic with a couple of my other mods. Pretty much everything is matchy-matchy... :D
