Muted flavor out of did

I've been getting a muted flavor on my did anyone know why? No hot spots or shorts

Need more info. What is your setup, what are you vaping it on/at voltage wise, and what are you vaping eliquid wise, how many wraps and of what gauge kanthal, what mesh and what size (I assume what was provided)? Are you vaping it with the fill plug screwed in or left out, air hole/wick/coil down, or otherwise? I tend to agree with Switched, when you first set it up, it will take a while for the coil to bed in and the wick to break in and get saturated with e-liquid. I find the older the wick, the better the flavor, especially if I don't switch flavors a lot. I recently got my mini-DID, and am vaping Boba's through it. 1.8Ω coil, 4 wrap, 32g, 400 mesh. Initially had to leave the fill plug out and vape it with the air hole down to keep the mesh wet. As it broke in, I was able to add the fill plug back and vape it however I wanted... unless straight up chain vaping it.
