I've had my MVP V2 since November and it's worked like a charm, in the beginning I was getting about 48 hours per charge... In the last month or so I was still easily getting 36 hours per charge (times tested only occasionally when I forgot to plug in before going to sleep, I usually charge daily).... That was till Saturday... I dropped it on pavement getting out of my car... After having a heart attack and having to crawl under the car to retrieve it everything SEEMED fine except for some minor scratches on the skin... I went on using it that evening and charged as usual (overnight) since then I've barely been getting 8 hours per charge...I always use the MVP cable to charge but have in desperation tried others with the same result... 8ish hours to dead... Have I rattled one of the internal batteries loose maybe? Anything I can do? Or just give up and replace it?

Hard to say. The internal batteries are actually soft plastic sacks of what looks like a jelly-like substance. One may have become ruptured. Not sure how safe it might be to continue using it.

Pretty much what I was expecting to hear except for the unsafe part which I should've figured :( no heat or funny smells, function seems completely normal... Just with horrible battery life... Am I risking fire or explosion if I continue using? I'm 8 hours from home and while I have egos as a back up they are of course dead and the ego charger I packed bit the dust. I do an awesome job of putting my self in bad situations.

Aww I am so sorry for your loss. :) But I'm glad you posted this because it could help others be safer. I love my mvp2 and would probably replace it tomorrow if it went out today. Good luck to you. BTW Welcome to posting on ecf. My gosh how have you been a member for so long without asking questions. I need help all the time. heehee
