Hi All,
Got it finished :D
Using 2ea 14500 in series and a 5v regulator. Input to the regulator with fresh batteries is 8.39v and output from the regulator is 4.98v. Credit for the RCA goes to Warp, not sure who suggested the regulator from TI, but thanks to them also.

Here are some pictures.

Burnie looks great ... very nice mod. How does it vape?
Wow :w00t:, DAM :w00t:, WOW :w00t:
Glad I only had 18mg in that cart. Ok First test was with a 901, TONS of vapor and STRONG throat hit. :w00t: Not a lot of flavor, but this juice does not have much anyway. :w00t:

More after I try an 801 and a 510.

Hows the flavor with the 510?
Loose almost all the flavor to me. I need to try some higher flavor liquid for a fair test, now I am using cut liquid, just don't know if I can stand 36mg uncut in this thing, which is all I have.
Let me know how battery life works with it!
Going to last a long time as I'm not sure if I could use it all the time. I like my 3.7v with a 510 or 901, but just not sure about the 5v. I just did it to do it.

Burnie, Great Mod have fun with it. I got some of those Ti regulators , Whats the wiring pattern for the regulator please.
This is from someone else, SO PLEASE CREDIT TO THEM and NOT ME.

But it works just fine, IF YOU DON"T LIKE FLAVOR. I did this, HATE IT. Going to sell mine when I get a chance. Even a 2 second draw was too much for me. JMHO

You did a great job on those adapters Burnie, and a clean mod altogether.
From you that means a lot, You are my hero, :p Just kidding around. But you did give me the Idea of the RCA connectors, which are GREAT. When I get my order of boxes in the only thing I am going to do is make the connector inside the box, makes it not as long outside. Otherwise I love your idea.

On the 5v box, IMHO, DON'T BOTHER, IT SUCKS.....
I normally hit 5 seconds at 3.7v, on the 5v it KILLS the flavor at 3 seconds, I get a little flavor at 2 seconds, GOOD VAPOR at all, but I like flavor also. I will be selling mine, and might make 4 more (as I have 4 more regulators) but I don't know.

Well, I have 6v mods and they deliver very good flavor, but you know that can be just a personal taste thing.

One thing I can tell you is it took me a few days to get the hang of it at 6v, at first it was just crazy, so maybe that will also happen to you. It really should not be bad since it is comparable to a straight form USB pass-through.

We will see ;)

The type of juice will play a big part in this. VG based juices need considerably more power to vaporise, so the more VG, the better a higher voltage will seem. However, flavorings will be the first to vaporise and there is likely to be greater separation of flavor and vapor with VG (greater fractional distillation).

Not sure on all this  I have a 3.7v box mod and my 5v box mod (and several others). OK I am using the RCA connector so I can switch from one to the other with ease. I vape with the 3.7v and coffee/chocolate and nice flavor. I switch to the 5v and only go 2 seconds, I get a little flavor, anymore and I get a harsh taste and no flavor. Is it just me or is this what higher voltage is like?? If so I'll stick with 3.7v.

One important thing Burnie...
At higher voltage you need to keep it "juicy", it does consume a lot more.
But maybe you already tried that.

I agree kina, even though I stopped using VG after I ordered French pipe VG and gave me stomach ache for a whole day and made nauseous for even longer time. I am not sure if it was "bad", or it was the VG, or the flavor itself. I ordered 1 non nic and 1 28mg and they both STINK...YUCK. It is one of those odors that I can't stand, it smells like roses but multiplied by 10, and it lingers for hours.
Or maybe it's all in my head lol.
