Just built this altoids mod with a 50w subox board. When I got it put together I thought it didn't work but it turns out the board doesn't boost and the resistance of the rta I put on it wasn't low enough to get more than 14 watts at 3.6v. Put a .3 ohm build on it and it works fine now.
freaking awesome. why did you cut and cap the red negative battery wire before connecting it to the neg on the board? I'm really interested in learning how to do this (without board) i want to make an altoids mechanical mod with the old 510 connection from my lavatubeV1. This is awesome though bro. So cool. Looks great.
Never thought about that. Kinda partial to my tanks though. Probably just store a 10ml bottle there or add a cell if I'm not happy with the battery life.
The board and battery holder were already wired I just soldered the wires and wire nutted them. I figure it would be easy to the undo the nuts and add another battery holder in parallel. I prefer VW over mechanical. The chip was only $11 bucks thru fasttech. I like to be able to change the power because some different flavors come out of the juices I make at different temperatures.
