It has a built-in thermo-meter too. <giggle>
Poke fun! I deserve it. It's all good. :)

I like that meter. I especially like the temperature function and the 3.999 ranging. Most meters change range at 1.999, or have less digits like 1.99. I also like how their site lets you zoom in on the item just by mousing over it. I wish they would give more specs though. Would like to know what that temp measurement range is.

I've been using them for over 35 years, bud -- the next time I call it a "muhl-TIM-iter" will be the first time. =)

Like you, I call it a multi-meter for the same reason you denoted.

(And we make fun of 'Chinglish' translations? We can't even agree on our own language pronunciations) lol

I hope Houdini reports back soon. I'm worried that his batteries are charged up to 120 volts at this point...

I didn't know they sold vaping supplies; I'll have to check that out.
Technically they don't carry much in the way of vaping supplies although some of the Mall Brands appear to be sold there. But you can get Lorann's and tweezers and syringes and stuff. I always check there first for almost anything I'm looking to buy. I use the cart like a shopping list -- I shove stuff into "saved items -- to buy later" and delete them if I end up buying it somewhere else.

ETA: $6.95 shipping. They'd better put that thing on sale. There are no Sears in Manhattan.

Wall wart is 14.8 and AC reads 147! This meter is definitely inaccurate. I have another one I'm gonna dig out of my tool box to compare it to.

I am interested in the report back.

Probably a bad meter... But I have seen AC that high before, usually caused by a bad neutral. Have your lights been acting wonky lately? Had a friend with a bad neutral connection up on the pole. When his dishwasher kicked on, half of the lights in the house got really bright and the light on the pole outside his house dimmed way down. It was a bad neutral connection between the transformer on the pole and his house.

He was asking the pronunciation of the word. I got sidetracked off on why its called that. I do that sometimes. :(

Nope. Not a "bad." It's not like Poeia has any traditional gender-association (I don't think there are many people named Onomatopoeia) and my avatar is most definitely male.

Onomatopoeia -- like; 'kerplunk' and 'buzz'? =)

How 'bout this one for an example of onomatopoeia that is also a palindrome -- 'Wow'. <g>

So, Poeia is a she-a? It's nice to meet ya. =)

Houdini, did you unplug your charger from the 220 volt clothes dryer outlet yet?

Hi Crash and Houdini, I have some of these Tenergys on a different charger right now and I will put them on the meter when the light goes green and let you all know. I didn't know that these batteries are not protected. Which ones would I use for 6v vaping in my Big Chuck?
I use the same batts :) Although not protected, they are lifepo4s which supposedly will NOT explode or catch fire....;)

really? I have always heard lifepo4s to be of "safER" composition. I kind of assumed they were less likely to explode or catch fire. or maybe like a slow motion explosion with less punch to it?

Update: Since this meter I'm using came from the store with a battery already in it I decided to take it apart and check that. Even though the LCD display was normal and bright the battery was basically dead. I put a new battery in it and all battery/charger readings are in the normal range. My AC reading is 120v too. But, this still doesn't explain why all of a sudden I've lost 4 attys. 3 801's and yesterday a 510. I don't get it.

No, it doesn't explain the sudden deaths of your attys but it *does* eliminate the very weird readings you were getting and eliminates a couple of items from the diagnostic tree.

I'm looking for a common denominator ---

Have you been using a new e-liquid of late?

If not and back to electrical, has this happened all with the same mod? Is there a common thread adapter being used that may be 'fixing to die' or suddenly moisture between the two poles causing abnormally high resistance? In essence, 'shunting' the positive and negative?

More importantly, are you still buying that ultra-cool charger? 'Cause you're my hero if you do. LOL

Haha, I have an Electrifly Triton EQ charger (for RC stuff), does that qualify me for hero status? :). You really need one for multi-cell LiPos but they also need to be wired with a balancing circuit connector.

It doesn't work. I have an Amazon credit card so I get a $25 gift certificate for every $2,500 I spend. I had $25 in but knew I was due for another one. I delayed ordering for 2 weeks (one waiting for my statement to close and one waiting for the certificate to show up.) I finally gave up and ordered, expecting to use the $25 and it didn't apply it to the purchase. At least I didn't wait the 3 more days until the second certificate arrived.
Not that I ever doubted you, Poeia, but you were right. I put in my order for another Chuck last night and payment with my gift certificate balance wasn't even an option. It only listed two of my credit cards and one of my mother's. I resisted the temptation to charge it to dear old Mom and used one of my own. And so, I'm back in line again.

In fact I have been using a new liquid. Ms.T's. I think I started using it a day or 2 before the attys died. Thing is for the past 2 days I've been using it in a couple 401 attys with great results. And yes, I am gonna get that charger.
