What frustrates me most is the lack of consistency in vapor production. Some of the time I'll get a big beautiful cloud, but then on another day with the exact same set-up I get hardly anything. To have a good "session" I just keep tying different combinations of atomizers, batteries and e-liquid until one works-- but then it's never as simple as just sticking to that, eventually it will stop working so I'll shuffle things again, clean the atty, blow it out, get a new one, etc.

With the eGo-T, I thought, for about three days that I had found nirvana... but then it started getting fiddly too-- right now one of my 510s makes more vapor than the eGo-T... I'm certain I'll get it back together again, and it's not like it's unusable, but I just wish I could pick up my device and COUNT ON it to work the same way every time (provided that I cleaned and replaced the atomizers as needed and filled it will e-liquid)

I was watching some videos about the Darwin VV, it is really hot-looking, it also seems a little dangerous with all that power, but they said it has a feature where it adjusts to the resistance of the atomizer so you get the same level hit each time... is this what I'm thinking of what I long for consistency?

I don't mind putting down cash if it will solve the problem. But if it's going to be another three-day honey-moon well.... I'll stay with the ego.

Or is all this just a function of experience?

No, The Darwin is a great and constant pv from what I have heard from fellow vapers. I also hear great things about the Provari. With these devices you get top quality and consistency. I only wish I had the money for one of them. I am very happy with my VV foxy mod box. It was all I could afford and it works great and is consistent. I know if I ever had a problem with it I could call Steve and he would help me. He's a great guy that cares about his customers. If money isn't an issue, like I said go for the Darwin or Provari. If you don't like it, give it to me!:D

If there is one with the Darwin is, it's consistant, in terms of power. Obviously you can still wear out your cartomizers/atomizers, but if you keep a fresh one in your pocket that shouldn't be an issue. As for what a battery could actually do, I don't see how the Darwin could do it better. :) Don't worry too much about the danger. Sure, you can pop your atty pretty quick if you max it out and cold-burn it, but I haven't had an issue. Maxed out on a single coil it always gets too hot and tastes burnt in seconds, but I haven't actually blown one yet. The adjustment wheel will click in the middle, which is usually always a good spot. Allot of people talk about adjusting the wheel by accident but I've never experienced that. The Darwin will even adjust the voltage mid-vape if/when the atomizer resistance changes slightly because of the heat.

Any regulated PV should deliver consistent power to your carto or atty. If you use a good quality carto (like a Boge or Ikenvape) and keep it loaded you should see much more consistency. I use a few different VV mods Which are regulated and Give a constant voltage until the batteries die and it just shuts off. I use either Boge 3.0Ω cartos or IKV 801 Fusion cartos. I have absolutely no inconsistency problems any more.

Sounds to me like your issues are with what your using with the battery, not the battery itself and the Ego T is not known for it's consistency in the long run. Cartomizers are about as consistent as it gets, when one wears out just toss it and open another, they are cheaper than attys so overall cost is probably going to be a wash. I use attys for dripping, other than that I stick with cartos.

Cartomizers are def the way to go. I use an E-Power with a High-Drain Battery and it is very consistant from off the charger to almost dead battery. Paired with a Ressurector carto and Im in heaven. Crazy amounts of vapor and great flavor. And I get about a day to a day and a half on one battery so theres really no fiddiling involved

I would not use CE2's. They are going to drive you crazy. Personally I hate them. Their prob the most finicky carto out there. You constantly have to do little things just to get it to work like it should. They always seem to have some sort of problem and many people have to keep turning them upside down just to get them to wick right.

If you want to go with a carto, get a normal one that works well, like the Boges. You could also use a Ressurector. The Ressurectors are really for 3.7V, but the will work on an eGo. They just wont be up to their full potential. But many eGo users still like them

Consistency comes at a price but you are like me, it is worth paying for. Vaping can be highly frustrating if you do not have the right equipment and are annoyed by the less than perfect experience that the cheaper products give.

Get a Provari. Built like a tank, with up to 2 years warranty while with most ecigs you are lucky to get two weeks. Its electronics ensure it gives the same power every single time regardless of the charge level of the battery. Then get yourself some XL CE2 clearomisers (called Fluxomisers by GotVapes). Learn the couple of simple mods that make the clearo one of the best vapour and flavour producing vapes there is. You will have a bit of a learning curve but in a week or so with this setup you will be able to give yourself totally consistent vaping morning to night, day after day.

I have been using my Provari just about exclusively for around five - six months and I just bought my second as backup because I would be lost without one. I still try my ego batteries and my Megalodon now and again when I am doing something outside where the Provari might get damaged but the other stuff is rubbish in comparison.

If you want consistent, quality vaping all the time (and you are lucky enough to be able to afford one of course) get a Provari and learn how to use clearo's.

If the Provari is a bit out of your price range search on here for the Lavatube. It's a cheap chinese copy but it offers the promise of regulated vaping at a significantly reduced cost (although the quality has yet to be proved as they are not yet generally available).

This thread makes me want to try a carto, always used tanks. Are cartos really that much more consistent than a tank system?

My wife and I both used ego-t type A tanks, then type B's, then we found clearo's. Like tanks they have a learning curve but they can be mastered and once you are used to them they are far easier to use and far more consistent. I have around £100 - £150 worth of ego-t tanks and attys in a drawer as emergency spares and they have lain there untouched for months now. When we first tried clearo's we we genuinely shocked at how much vapour and flavour we had been missing with the tanks and atty's. I would not use them except as an absolute last resort now.

I also was in the annoyed boat with my attys. It seemed to me that after a few days I would always have to primer puff forever to get the thing to kick off. I wont bash attys because they are great for switching flavors quickly and testing juice, but cartos do give me a consistent vape until they dont, then you toss um and pop on a new one.
