Like others have mentioned. Carto's are the way to go if you like consistency. With atomizers, you have to clean them often. I usually clean mine after a days worth of use. If you used your ego-t for three days then it's time for it to be cleaned and dry burned in order for them to work like new again. I've had mine for 7 mnths now and it works like it did on the very first day. This video helped me out a lot when I started again:

Consistency depends of so many factors- those who are recommending Darwins and Provaris on this thread: Great units. But...consistent voltage is great. But what the OP seems to be talking about depends on so much more.

Without a consistent juice delivery, consistent voltage(or wattage) only gets you a litte ways. You've got to get an atty/cartridge/carto/tank that suits your juice and your vaping style. Darwin and Provari don't offer much help here.

You've got to learn how to do the maintenance your unit(s) require.

You've got to work out when to replace things.

AND...to the OP. You're probably gonna have to accept that vaping takes some work. I looked for a long time to find the vaping setup that delivered the goods, and was as convenient as cigarettes. (Buy. Smoke. Repeat.) I don't think it's out there. Not one that vapes good, anyway.

best,
Ande

Darwins and Provaris are great at ensuring the voltage is good (as is the Lavatube) but like everyone said, that's only half the equation. The other part is the atomizer and cartomizer you attach to whatever device. Adding to that is that depending on the atty/carto there can often be variations from one unit to the other. Consistency is sometimes elusive, which can be frustrating.

    As is the eGo battery.

A carto tank is going to be about as consistent as it gets because the carto is always kept wet.

However, any juice will begin to taste like chewing on a toothpick if vaped long enough without a change of flavors. That's just a function of your taste buds.
Vaping two or more devices, with different flavors, instead of just one will do as much for the illusion of consistency as anything else.

What frustrates me most is the lack of consistency in vapor production. Some of the time I'll get a big beautiful cloud, but then on another day with the exact same set-up I get hardly anything. To have a good "session" I just keep tying different combinations of atomizers, batteries and e-liquid until one works-- but then it's never as simple as just sticking to that, eventually it will stop working so I'll shuffle things again, clean the atty, blow it out, get a new one, etc.

With the eGo-T, I thought, for about three days that I had found nirvana... but then it started getting fiddly too-- right now one of my 510s makes more vapor than the eGo-T... I'm certain I'll get it back together again, and it's not like it's unusable, but I just wish I could pick up my device and COUNT ON it to work the same way every time (provided that I cleaned and replaced the atomizers as needed and filled it will e-liquid)

I was watching some videos about the Darwin VV, it is really hot-looking, it also seems a little dangerous with all that power, but they said it has a feature where it adjusts to the resistance of the atomizer so you get the same level hit each time... is this what I'm thinking of what I long for consistency?

I don't mind putting down cash if it will solve the problem. But if it's going to be another three-day honey-moon well.... I'll stay with the ego.

Or is all this just a function of experience?
