Tried #2 just now. Measured a 5ml mix in 0mg VG and shook it up.

It has a good flavor, but the tobacco blend abs feels too dry for me. Maybe I'll try adding some EM after I let it sit a day.

I will say, so far this is my fav tobacco DIY — I'm excited to taste it tomorrow.

Happy to hear you like it and I agree it can use some sweetness also raising the overall percentage,

added couple of EM drops made it the best clone by far!

5% tobacco Blend Alc.(TPA)
4% Cinnamon Danish(TPA)
4% Graham Cracker(TPA)
3% Cherry Natural(LOR)
2% Almond Natural(LOR)
2% Cotton Candy(TPA)

Another interesting fact discovered, the combination of Cinnamon Danish and Almond Natural creates a taste like coconut,
so I can see why people add it, have tried separately both one drop of VZ coconut or TPA`s in the mix its overpowering,
try Almonds with the Cinnamon instead!

Do the cherry and almond smell similar on their own? I thought i read somewhere that cherries and almonds share a flavor compound.

eitano, i am using ingredients from your recipe and you might be on to something with almond; i agree it does combine with with other flavors and give the juice sharpness that bobas also has. I ordered cherry and testing your theory. Good work keep us posted;

quick question, anyone know if anything from vaping zone have a similiar taste to TPA tobacco blend (alc)?

eitano, the more I vape cherry + almond the more I think you've nailed those two flavors. I just now mixed up a test batch of graham cracker, almond, cherry, NF Danish and black cigar... But because I'm a horrible person I didn't measure the exact mix or ratios, but it's freaking good. When I make a full mix I'll remember to measure it out and share.

This mix to me has blissful moments of Boba's. I want to try a different graham cracker, because TFA I'm pretty sure wouldn't be in the original recipe and might impart a different flavor.

I think the almond + cherry combo is so killer and I am pretty confident now that those two are in the actual recipe. I'm not getting the coconut quite yet but this is damn delicious anyway.

Anyone else have a guess to the tobacco? I have quite a few I can try.

This is so exciting.

I've been doing some thinking about the Cherry + Almond combo. I haven't tried it yet, however, I've been digging to try and figure out the solution to creating a viable clone because honestly, I'm tired of the lack of availability.

There was some information pointing towards DIYflavorshack as a/one potential source where AV may purchase their ingredients. I figured, hey, why not, I'll give it a shot. Well, though they offer Cherry + Almond, they don't seem to have the VG versions of the flavoring in stock... coincidence? I don't know. I know they did, at one time, stock VG based Cherry and Almond flavorings, this much can be shown on this part of their site: http://ecigsmokestore.com/flavors.html which is under the subtitle, Available DIY Flavoring, at the top of the page.

So, I'm ordering nearly every VG flavoring they have to offer, and, well, I'm going to add Cherry and Almond to the order as well. Though, I'll likely be stuck with the PG versions. Still though, if it gets me closer to a clone, I might endure.

What do you guys think?

Are the flavors just no longer available or are they intermittently available? AVE just re-opened today and they said they were waiting on flavoring so they could have just bought out their supply. That'd be quite a coincidence.

Like I said earlier I'd be surprised if cherry and almond weren't in the actual mix. IIRC, the Lorann's naturals are VG based (they certainly are stubborn enough to be) — those could be the actual flavorings, or at least derived similarly to his AVE's are.

If you're willing to try the PG based ones, I'm happy to read your report :)

I'm still waiting for SloHand's mixes, too.

Well that was crazy! It only took me 1/2 hour of Error messages at AVE to order some Boba's Bounty so I can see what this is all about. I hope I like it after all that. lol
I'm very curious about something Mr. Mann said about it having a boba tea type flavor in it. Very curious as well about the coconut, which seems to have disappeared as this thread moves along. Now we have cherry and almonds! I can't wait to taste this stuff.

Best bet!

They do have these:

VG Sweet Cherry E-Liquid

VG Almond E-Liquid

And this:

VG Double Flavored Tobacco Flavorings

Working on it. We (Kingstonians and area) have our 1 year vape meet reunion on Saturday 420 :) So I've dropped three of the six recipes I was testing (not even close) and have made three new batches with some tweaks.

Given that I will have a fairly large group to test these on at the meet I'm going to hold back until that testing is done. I'm still skeptical about the cherry though. Mind you I only have this cherry flavour on hand. I don't know who produces it or what it's base is. I'm still finding that the few drops of vinegar give the whole package a 'cherry' like taste but I'm just one set of taste buds :)

You can tell from here that #3 and #4 are pretty popular.

I mentioned previously, but worth repeating, the VG flavors at DIYflavorshack and AVE match exactly to the LorAnn Natural line, https://www.lorannoils.com/c-202-new-natural-flavors.aspx

I keep a folder of BB info, might as well dump it here...
5 flavors, but none of these.
40% flavoring.
Tobacco hints.
Boba's with 3 tobacco flavorings.
No alcohol in Boba's Bounty.

Awesome post Porksmuggler. The Lorann oils are what I was thinking too but in order to please those that I've been having try my batches I've been using non-vg based flavors. Only then do I get "That's much closer!" or "That's it!".

I'm coming to the conclusion that we will imitate Boba's fairly well but we will not duplicate it. I mean 40% flavoring!! I don't get that. Unless he's making his own (mild) NET in a vg base and using this in his calculations as "flavoring/base". If I try and make a batch at 40% with commercially available flavors, it's unvapable.

I tried the multiple tobacco's and had success with this but the two tobacco's are from E-cig Express and are pg based;

Black and Mile Plus 71.4%
Tobacco Express Captian 14.3%
Coconut 14.3%

and added just 15% of that to a 12mg vg base. When I vape this, those around me say it smells like baked goods :)

Very intriguing! Having fun!

I think that's roughly it, my guess is the 40% is the 5 flavorings, including the 3 tobacco "elements" as he put it, and they're VG based.

I'm content with the assumption that the other flavorings are LorAnn natural, but I have no idea where or what the tobacco flavorings are. I'm guessing something along the lines of tobacco absolutes maybe, with no alcohol or PG base, of course. With the BB and Gorilla Juice availability issue, that doesn't impact the other flavors on AVE, I think that's a good indication of where the magic is, and why no one has duplicated these flavors.

Mixed 2 other versions, got very good results:

3% Tobacco Blend Alc.(TPA)
3% Creamy Caramel Natural(LOR)
3% Maple Natural(LOR)
3% Toffee Natural(LOR)
2% Cherry Natural(LOR)
1% Almond Natural(LOR)

Second version(best in my opinion):

6% Tobacco Blend Alc.(TPA)
3% Cinnamon Danish(TPA)
3% Graham Cracker(TPA)
2% Cherry Natural(LOR)
1% Almond Natural(LOR)

If anyone tries them, let me know what do you think!?

Have anyone tried this receipts but with Tobacco Blend (PG) instead of Tobacco Blend (ALC)? And is there big or any difference? I'm asking because TBA must be sent by ground so no oversees shipping.

You can get Tobacco extract, Ethyl Maltol.. And separately the pure grain alcohol locally.
The formula is 2 drops tobacco extract to 10ml alcohol with 1/4 teas. ethyl maltol.

I'm a complete newbie to DIY. I've been following this thread closely as Boba's has been my all day vape since I started 1.5 years ago. I'm totally hooked on this flavor. But I've become increasingly frustrated due to Alien Vision's inability to keep their poop in a scoop...

So here I am. I've ordered all the flavors in Eitano's recipe. The Tobacco absolute was a complete bust. The tobacco was way too strong and not a tobacco flavor I enjoy. I tried again using the Desert Ship tobacco at 3% last night. The Cherry seems too strong on this one. I'm obviously messing up somewhere. Was this recipe for a 100%VG base?

Thanks for all the information on this thread. I've got to figure something out quickly. I'm down to about 5 mls of the dregs from old Boba's bottles now:(

Was this recipe for a 100%VG base?

100%VG base with 5% distilled water.

Try adding VZ`s Black Cigar(Black and Mild) it does complement with the missing notes!
Might be that the original contain roughly 2% Tobacco Extract or Tobacco Absolute due to availability, ease of use I used the Tobacco Blend Alc.

Latest favorable version:

4% Graham Cracker(TPA)
3% Black Cigar(VZ)
3% Tobacco Blend Alc.(TPA)
3% Cinnamon Danish(TPA)
3% Cotton Candy(TPA)
2% Cherry Natural(LOR)
2% Almond Natural(LOR)

has anyone gone scientific othis stuff? im wondering if a bit of paper chromatography might help. it will seperate the ingredients out so you can get a better look at them. if there's anything freaky in there that has nothing to do with standard flavorings (my personal fear and the reason i wont smoke it) theres a chance they could be found.
