Its tobacco absolute. TPA is out of it until "the beginning of July". The thick pure version of TA can be mixed easily with VG to dilute it.

I mentioned this awhile back in the thread and I guess no one has tried it. Ive never had bobas but when I saw your post I went directly to the TPA site, and under the tobacco blend (pg) description it says the are out of TA till beginni.g of July (note: seems they have TA in stock now so if ave starts making bobas right quick then this could be something to watch).

To my knowledge TA pure is used to make tobacco Blend (pg).

Perfumers Apprentice - Tobacco Blends, Absolutes, & Extracts

I have worked alot of TA using it as a key ingredient in my own tobacco base blend for more than a year now. You can use it to make an all VG tobacco base easily and the backnote of it DOES have a ashy and very VERY faint flat and not sweet raisiny (some would say dirty raisin) flavor to it.

May want to investigate that one gang. One of the seriously veteran guys may know if TA was around back in 09. I believe it was as there werent likely a ton of flavors around then, like there are now at least.

Currently Avejuice is out of one or more of the flavorings needed for Boba's Bounty. You might want to search the vendors that they might be using (someone that was supplying in 2009 when Boba's was first around) and see what flavorings are out of stock. This might be a clue to help with your quest.

Does Boba's have a cinnamon note to it? (I've never tried it) I made Batch #7 without the almond (because i Dont have it) and I'm not a fan. I actually like when it just has coconut, graham cracker, cigar and tobacco flavors. Didn't like the cherry added either. (I know taste is subjective but just giving my opinion in case it helps someone)

Yes, it has a cinnamon note at times, though IMHO its somewhat subtle, and is one of what I call Boba's "transient" flavors. One of the unique characteristics of Boba's Bounty is it's complexity.... the flavors change constantly. It's also one of the reasons it's so difficult to try to duplicate.

At times It tastes just like massive amounts of honey, and then later on, you don't get any honey flavors at all, instead it tastes just like milk chocolate, then changes to very heavy tobacco flavors, then sometimes its definitely graham cracker, cinnamon roll for a while, maybe a bit of raisin & almond, and sometimes a combination of any (or all) of them...... it's the chameleon of juice!

It's interesting to read reviews by people who take one taste & dismiss it because they say it tastes like one particular flavor they don't like...but go back later & try it again & swear that it's been re-formulated! Nope - same juice - different day :)

IMHO; Trying to duplicate the true flavor of Boba's is like trying to nail Jello to the wall.... You may be able to duplicate what it tastes like during a specific "phase", but unless someone discovers the exact formulation that Ben uses, it won't have the myriad of flavors that have made this juice famous......Remember - he's stated many times that its a very simple recipe - only FOUR ingredients! Its the interplay of those ingredients and how they work together that produce the complexity & unique characteristics of Boba's Bounty.

(That doesn't mean we should stop trying though - some of these recipes are superb in their own right :) )

Have fun

I've had black honey and black cigar, and personally they are nothing alike. Your end product may still be good... but just letting you know.

I'm thinking about trying first eitano's version since I have those flavors except for Black Cigar. I'll just double the Tobacco Blend and try the white vinegar. I think it was just a drop per 10ml.

I've never tried it, so I'm definitely not trying to duplicate and don't think I'm patient or dedicated enough to. However, I find it interesting to see what people do and it sounds like it would be good. (just like Pluid, which I've also never tried)

Might give me an excuse to order some things from Fasttech. :)

The bottles with syringe tips that Fasttech sells leak at the bottle/cap junction. I had to use several wraps of teflon tape on every one of the 8 that I got to get them to seal. I won't be buying those again.

Tobacco based juices do this exact thing exclusively. They are constantly changing.

However, none change more than a tobacco juice made with TA. Especially if TA is used as the MAIN part of the base. I could be wrong but my experience with TA tells me this is true. From the start Ive vaped nearly all VG juice.

Flavors are slower to change in VG, but when it starts to happen in changes quickly... especially if there is a good amount of distilled water involved (above say 10% in the final juice) as it helps to carry flavor better in VG. Without any heat steeping a VG tobacco absolute based juice left to sit in a bottle after mixing will taste flat flavor wise for up to two weeks. Once it hits week three it begins to "ripen". Flavors develop, become pronounced, then fade, then gel and mix to emerge as something else completely.

I have one bottle of my buffalobacco mix (in the recipes section) that was made on 6/27/12. I covet it. Its a TA mix and everytime I vape it... its different... but still somehow the same and totally enjoyable. Im down to my last 4ml in that bottle and you can bet your bippy Ill seed steep that puppy and make more from it. (I do have a bottle sitting six months old but its just not the same).

If I could actually get some bobas in my hands Im pretty sure Id know if TA was in it. I know it that well. I vape it it all kinds of combinations daily. The vets turned me on to TA and I dived in deep. Its not easy stuff to work with and do it right especially in VG.

I made my first batch and it's yummy. I'm thinking about getting a ultrasonic cleaner at Harbor Freight to speed-steep it. DIY is so much fun. Compared to the BB Clone, my batch doesn't taste or smell like Banana Nut Bread but it's too soon to tell...but I'm totally getting Smores...and since I used Coconut Extra, it has notes of Almond Joy candy.

Yeah... Eventually I'll probably have to get one of those ultrasonic things. AS for coconut extra, I liked it but prefer Capella's coconut better. It has less of the waxy (for lack of a better word) taste than the coconut extra.
I don't think I've vaped banana yet. Lol. I'm always afraid it's going to taste artificial and I HATE artificial banana flavor. ICK

I added a drop of Banna Nut Bread straight into my clearo and it's good. This batch I will label as Tobacoco Joy.

I'm planning my 2nd batch but this time the recipe for Gorilla juice and will try saline drops with white vinegar.

guys confused person over here, so any recipes come super close to bobas yet?

Maybe close, but different. Don't expect the same taste. In my case the experiments turned out to be better lol. Check OP first post, then look for Slohand's post with the 8 recipes, and Eitano's posts. Others have also posted some variations. sorry i don't have links.

I think people have said that this one is most like it....

15% flavor (don't ask why this was formulated this way... I have no clue)
Boba's Clone #7
Black and Mile Plus (6%)
Cinnamon Danish Swirl (3%)
Almond oil (3%)
Coconut (1.065%)
Graham Cracker (1.065%)
Vinegar (0.87%)

I personally don't like the cinnamon flavor in there but I've never tried Boba's.

I did a 80% VG and I think it's too thick for my EVOD. Has anyone tried 60-70% VG and the rest distilled water?

Btw, it looks like AVE Juice will be fully stocked of BB in the near future so we'll all be able to have the real thing. But for now, I'm still loving the BB Clone from Cat Skill at $15 for 120ml, it's a very good deal and the smaller sizes are the same price so be sure to select 120ml.

Howdy Everyone,

We are currently out of stock of Boba's Bounty and Gorilla Juice. We still carry the juice, it's just not selectable on our website now due to being out of stock. We have placed an expedited order with our supplier so we can get this in ASAP and can then start making the juices again. We are very sorry for this inconvience and will post a blog and update our Facebook page once we get the ingredients in.

Hope everyone had a great 4th of July we don't anticipate being out of stock for too long. Thanks for being patient with us and have a great day!
