Guys with recipe #8 (I'm not sure which actually) I'm getting a wet vapor to the point where it causes cough. Do u know what might cause this? I'm using VG base and 20% flavoring. Does too much flavoring cause this? Or maybe the VG I'm using. I'm frustrated because it tastes great but I cannot vape it!

SloHand's flavorings are all PG based I believe, so that's likely not your issue. Have you ever vaped high VG % juice?

Does boba's bounty count? Lol. I vaped a lot of 100% VG. Weird!

lol, yeah that definitely counts. I think SloHand used some flavoring brands that weren't exactly what had been suggested previously in the thread. I'm assuming that's what he had on hand (pun intended) when testing. The only one that throws a red flag for me is the Almond Oil, because of what is mentioned here:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...rs-color-coded-complete-ingredients-list.html

I use the Lorann Naturals Almond flavor, which is different, and water soluble.

Ah I was unaware of that - Then maybe he is adding saffron to the tobacco extraction. Would be great if you could give it a go. it is going to take me ages to get the flavors I need to try it. But I am in my own mind pretty certain he is using saffron somewhere in the mix. Might try and see what coconut, vanilla and cola does with some B+M first.

Very interesting theory. I'm still leaning toward some kind of tobacco extract being used due to the fact you can't get Boba's in 0mg nic.

Thanks for sharing! I'm gonna play with your suggested recipe! :thumb:

I'm using almond natural as well. This is driving me crazy. Its like the vapor is 90% humidity.

About the almond oil,
I tried a somewhat modified recipe but with the same amount of Lorrann's almond oil as in #7.
Not surprising the result, not really steeped, smells like Marzipan. Did someone else notice that?
Also strangely the liquids seems to bond well with no "floating" layer of the almond oil (I did a fast steep in hot water).
Yet to taste the juice.

Has anyone re-visited the recipe in the very first post by the OP? I've been meaning to mix that up and compare it to #7....

Actually, I use the OP recipe as a basis for one of my favorites - a Gorilla Juice clone
to the original recipe I added:

1% Black Honey (PA)
2% Banana Nut Bread (PA)
4% Graham Cracker (Mt Baker)
.5% Cinnamon Sugar Cookie (PA) (that's 1/2 %)
+ a few drops of EM sweetener & two small drops of Ripe Banana (PA) per 10ml
2 drops of .9% saline solution (Cleanoz) / 10ml

I've refined this one over time & I actually like it better than the #6 Gorilla Juice clone.... I don't even order Gorilla Juice any more. To me, this tastes better after a few weeks of steeping.

I also notice that this one likes higher wattage to really pop for some reason.

Thanks for sharing this with us. I'm going to give it a try. Never heard of using saline before but heard of others using Vinegar. I will never use Vinegar other than for cleaning. :)

I tried it in the very beginning, the black cigar was too overpowering at 6% for me. But like others have said, it was a starting point for me. I have reduced the black cigar to about 1/2% in my clone recipe. It is a perfect dark, chocolatey background note, but gets overpowering at much over 1% for me.

Me neither but that's mainly because I almost NEVER have all the same exact ingredients. SO I try to use flavors as close to the original as possible.
I find that MANY of the recipes in this thread are good starting points for some super juices. I never make a recipe just as written. I always start tweaking it to suit MY taste. Love this thread!

Think I got it, could not tell the difference! Here is my last take:

2% Black Cigar(VZ)
2% Tobacco Blend Alc.(TPA)
2% Cinnamon Danish(TPA)
2% Graham Cracker(TPA)
2% Cherry VG(LOR)
2% Maple VG(LOR)
2% English Toffee VG(LOR)
1% Almonds VG(LOR)

VG base, no Nicotine.

Thank you for sharing this. I'm gathering what I need and will give it a shot.

I must just be dumb and didn't catch the lingo but I think I have the right Black and mild please someone point the tard in the right direction. Black Cigar Super Concentrated Flavor

Yepper... that's the stuff I've used before. It's a little stronger than the Black & Mile that ecigexpress sells, so I usually use about 1/3 less of VZ Black Cigar when I mix it....but they have very similar flavor profiles IMHO.

Either one needs a week or two to tone down - during the first week or so they tend to be pretty strong & overpower the rest of the flavors...but they will mellow out nicely.

Have fun

Ive always said that BB tasted just like Levi Garret Chew Plug. I have been searching high and low for that chew but cant seem to find it anywhere lately. He might be extracting that cause it molasses and raisin in it. When I first tried BB it was the first thing that came to my mind. If anyone find this stuff please try an extraction if not send it to me. I will gladly pay the shipping cost for it.

Hey I live in alabama that stuff comes in baby food jars at walmart! (im kidding) I can pick it up anytime if you still cant find it let me know.
