I have been continuing my quest on trying to atleast get a close mix to boba's. 3 weeks ago I ordered raisin, and rum raisin from natures flavors. Now here me out, these flavors are not due to arrive until Monday because I opted to order the flavors without diacetyl. I called them, and they said that there was a 2-4 week lead time if you ordered the flavors diacetyl free. Hmmm... I wonder if this might be the reason for some of the hold up at AVE when boba's run's out? Also, it could explain the change in taste. When I talked to the lady at Nature's Flavors she informed me that because the flavors are organic, they make the flavoring fresh to order. Also I read that with Natural flavorings and Organic flavorings, the taste can very because the flavor intensity of the ingredients used varies.. I'm not stating a fact, but just stating that I read this. It would certainly make sense. What do you guys think? Also I'll let everyone know how these flavorings turn out!

I am going to call BS on this myth of Boba's Bounty constantly changing flavor. I have vaped Boba's off and on for over 1 1/2 years. I've ordered 3 or 4 different times in different strengths of nicotine and it always tastes the same to me. The only way the flavor changes for me is if my vaping apparatus gets gunked up or dirty or I can vary the flavor by changing the wattage or voltage I'm vaping at. Once I clean or change the head the Boba's taste the same as it always does for me. I've also noticed that for lots of flavors that I vape depending on what I've just drank or eaten the flavor will temporarily change.

In no way am I disputing the few that mentioned that their latest batch of Boba's was different. I have no idea. My latest supply is a few months old and hasn't changed one bit in taste from the first day until today. Just sharing my personal experience.

I honestly don't think anyone will ever truly duplicate Boba's. With the almost infinite variety of flavors available it would be almost impossible to get the exact flavors in the exact percentage that Ben uses. That doesn't mean that you won't discover some great juice along the way. I have given up trying to duplicates juices I've bought and really like. I just bye them when I want them. And I do DIY quite a bit but chasing unicorns seems like a waste of time to me if the goal is duplication. JMHO

I don't know if the changing flavors things is true but I ordered a bottle because it had been a long time since I had it and it is not nearly as good as I remembered it. I steeped it for a week with ultrasonic on and off.

Have to say I like two or three of the recipes I've made from this thread far more than this bottle of BB. With some tweaking for my own tastes of course.

Well done guys!

I've had no flavor morphing, different depending on which order yes, Juice flavor is highly subjective, and is effected by voltage, and power. My last purchase was 100ml of BB, and until it is effectively cloned I'm stuck ordering it, because I've yet to find a juice I like as well. Including the Grumpies Hooch I just got (YUK) not a Boba's replacement for me :(

Why doesn't someone just send a sample off to a gas chromatography machine? Pay the 100$ get back a detailed report. And go from there?

GCMS for $100? i think most places start in the $400-$500 per test range.

whatever the cost you better know someone with a decent chemistry background. the data is not going to say that it contains "Blue Berry Flavoring" for example. most of the flavors we use are lots of different chemicals. for example i know artificial strawberry flavoring is around 50 different molecules.

I called a lab to do just this. As previously mentioned, it would cost upwards of $400-$700 per ingredient request. Which means, you cannot just give them the juice and ask them to send you a list of ingredients (doesn't work that way). Instead, you'd have to tell them to test for certain ingredients, and they can give you a yes/no.

To actually have a full break down to figure out every single molecule in the blend, the costs would be absurd.

Believe me, I tried... it's probably cheaper to just try and buy Ben out.

Hey guys, this is a long shot, but, first time trying actual bobas, first, because i used to make a lot of captains black juice and got bored, i immidiatelly said "oh god not this flavor again". it changed my mind after a while thou... w/e.
To the point. Theres a hint also , of a flavor i used to do back to my first vapes, called FOTIA by atmoslab. It has Benzyl alcohol in it.
And its smell, is Almond!

PS: I'm not saying to try FOTIA in it, but Benzyl alcohol itself. I just tried fotia, and it has the same, strong throat hit also. even if its 2 mg. i cut down a bobas to 2-3 mg, and the throat hit has the same strenght.

Ps2. My girlfriend who any juice she tries she finds the ingredients most of the times she told me it is"tabasco spicy"

Ben from AVE has already stated no alcohol content, believe him, or not, general consensus is to believe. Also already mentioned is the simplicity of the mix. I tend to believe both statements on his part, think the key to this is in the tobac bases, and that is where the complexity of flavors come from.

Does anyone know how many tobaccos? I thought someone said their was 3 tobaccos, and two additional ingredients. Dont hold me to that. My memory sucks nowadays.

That was what was said, I'm thinking that is pretty truthful, and maybe a flavor enhancer, or two, just my thoughts, but it would fit what Ben has said so far.

None of the clone recipes in this thread have even come close(my opinion only), some are tasty though. I've gone through 160ml of Boba's since Sept, have about 40ml left, will be placing a reorder very soon which will include at least another 200ml of Boba's. Yes I'm a Bobaholic, no recovery possible!

I think I can say one thing for sure, he is using NET's. In my tests with them, I am seeing the typical "foam" sitting at the top of the mix, just like Bobas. So , 3 NET's, and vinegar equals 4 ingredients.......one left?

That SNUS mixture I just made has some foamish bubbles on top of it. Its also sweeet as all get out.

You definitely cannot say that for sure.

Many ingredients (non-NET) make those bubbles/foam. TFA Banana Nut bread, CAP Chocolate Fudge Brownie are just two that I know off the top of the head.

I could be wrong about this, but I thought Ben also said that there was no NET's in Boba's?

Don't get me wrong, it's always been my guess that NET's had to be part of the recipe. What other reason, save preference, can there be for not offering 0mg tobacco flavorings? I personally still think it's something like a NET, but nothing is for sure... unless it is, for sure that is.

I stand corrected, I dont know for sure. Such the mystery that Bobas is.

Believe me, I've racked my brain on it for months. I'm with ya on the NET, but apparently it isn't (again, I think Ben said it wasn't).

If we can ever figure out non-pg, non-alcohol flavorings that have nicotine in them that aren't NET's, then we'll be set.
