I'm using the Vgo starter kit from JacVapour.

These are the carts I'm using
5 pack of blank/empty V3 XL (50mm) cartomisers - V3 Cartomisers by JAC Vapour Ltd

The problem is, whenever I fill one of these carts 5 times out of 10 they will leak at the bottom. I usually leave a cart on a piece of kitchen towel to leave them to set for 5-10 minutes but they always leave massive patches of e-liq.

Is it because I'm overfilling them or am I dropping e-liquid into the centre hole even though I make extra effort not to do that. Now using the How To video by igetcha69 he says that you should do about 25 drops so I do this but by the tenth it starts piling up and by 15th-20th drop it piles up quite high although settles down after about 20 seconds. Is that a sign that its had its limit? I can get around 5 drops and it will start filling up which is weird because surely that wouldn't be enough.

Any help/advice is welcomed, thank you.

I'm new myself, but it sounds like you may be overfilling a bit. Once it's not soaking in so fast, I blow through the top, holding a paper towel beneath. If nothing comes out, I add a few more drops until I get some spray coming out the bottom when blowing into it. Then I wipe off the bottom, and get down to vapin! Not saying that's the right way to do it, but it works for me! I'm sure more experienced folks will be along to help, if they haven't already!

I use the condom method, put both condoms on and leave it sit on the connection end for a couple hours or ideally, overnight. It allows the juice to really penetrate the filler and it kind of equalizes it for lack of a better word. I had issues with getting dry spots when I was dripping from the top, and since doing it this way it's smooth sailing on cartos! Then I can just top off throughout the day.

You can never really overfill a carto. You can "flood" it, which means there's juice in the center tube, but that's really unavoidable if you are to fill them correctly. All there is to it - you must take out the juice from that center tube before you vape.

I use a syringe to fill my cartos and I have never had any relevant problem. Since I get 1.2-1.4 ml in a regular sized Boge, I doubt I could get more in there. I will quote an older post, because I'm lazy like that --

The point is to soak the whole thing as much as possible so the way I do it:

- I always wear a condom! If you don't put the bottom condom on, juice will pour out
- I make sure the needle is between the filler and the outer wall, not into the filler, and push it as far as it goes
- I inject in three different places on the circumference
- Once liquid comes out of the center hole or from the sides I let it soak, then draw back on the plunger; then I push again, let the whole thing get fully flooded, wait, then draw back on the plunger. I do this several times. I wait more for thicker juices.
- With the condom on, I suck on the mouth end. What that does is pulls all the juice from the center hole into the filler. It's counter-intuitive, but you do not get juice in your mouth
