Looks Great!! BJ43. I take it that's the model that requires cutting of the shell? Any advice on where to get screws for the terminals? Don't like the pin setup on mine.

No it is the Ego-W that the cartridge is a completely separate unit from the shell and no cutting and I use an ego to 510 adapter. The screws are mini server pushrod links for RC models at any hobby store. The links screw into each other, so I stack two for the higher pos post.

Ok so I was also bored this weekend :)
Here is what I did, I used an old 510 auto battery tube to slide over the internal cup and stem, and pushed the bottom out of it so I did not have to cut it. Then rebuilt it back up with a SS wick:

I used a silicone end cap from a B T-tank and cut a hole in it, inverted the ceramic cup and used two sewing needles, then pushed that flush to the top of the tube. Slide the tube into the main body and used food grade silicone to fill in the space. Connected the wires on the bottome piece, again used food grade silicone to coat and seal the bottom and pressed it all back together.

First test will be today when I fill it. I did test the coil out and working perfectly. This is for my wife so she has another line clone in her bag :)

I will use a 18ga needle to push through the silicone to it self seals when I am done filling.

Thanks BJ43!! It's just in the other photo of the sugru it looked like a different tank and 510 connector. It's the ego-w i modded. Would there be any other name for the pushrod links? I'm in the UK and have been searching everywhere but can't find them.

Thanks Dan, I have a few that I want to press the bottom out without cutting and hadn't figured a good way to do it.

Well I cheated, I put it in my lathe chuck so the ceramic cup was facing the drill tail stop, then I slide the 510 battery case over the ceramic cup and stem, then moved the drill tail stop up and locked it in place. The I used the drill tail stop to apply pressure to the battery case, it pushed the bottom assy out of the tube. Worked perfect.

That's my problem. Have no way to hold the case without damaging it. Vice grips with padding didn't work. lol

Watching the Sugru curing process. At 4 to five hours it was delicate and the piece I left out for testing would crumble under finger pressure. Now at 20 hrs it is very hard with some flex and can be carved with an Xacto blade. I don't think it will be a problem drilling the hole for the wick but am going to give it the total 24 hrs or more. The posts are set very solid and I smell no fumes from it. Checked and getting correct voltage at the posts.

For this last line I used a Vision Clearomizer for the 510 base and tube, with slight trimming for length it fit perfect in the Ego-W sleeve. Overall the same size but this model holds 2.5ml of juice compared to the Ego-W mod with adapter that only holds 1.5ml.
So far no leaks and the Sugra seems to be holding up fine.

Looks great! Will maybe try the sugru myself. I thought it looked different BJ43!! That's why asked if it was the model you have to trim. Where did you get the vision from?

Madvapes, the one I used was the 2.5ml. I also got a 3.5ml I plan to convert into a "Long Cheap Line".

Sorry about the confusion, the thing is I have never done any cutting, the other lines I made were with the Ego-W cartridges that slide out of the sleeve and I use the adapter for 510.

The next Cheap line from a 3.5 Vision and Giantomizor 55mm sleeve. I have to press the ego connector out of the sleeve and press in a threaded collar from a ego-w. Dan pressed one out with his lathe but when I retired had to give up most of my toys for apartment living so am basically restricted to hand tools.

Using the whole tube should give me 4ml.
