I agree with those statements. It is best to start low in flavoring as you can always add more if needed. I use FA Peppermint with some of my mixes and mix it at 2% Anything higher than that would be too much. Don't be too discouraged. There is a learning curve but once you get it the rewards are great :)

I posted with a nearly identical title my first few weeks. "My juice sucks!" You'll get it. I'm no pro but I can make juice I enjoy now. That's big for me. Gosh I wasted a lot of money buying commercial juices that didn't fit my taste.

I enjoy 15 to 20% flavor except things like banana, mints and tobaccos. Those are 2% max for my tastebuds. You might try the recipe section. I mixed the ones with the most good comments and views that sounded tasty to me and started getting winners, finally. Once you get the feel of your flavors you can get creative. Good luck and have fun :)

thanks guys!!!

now all i need to know...do I toss the ones I don't like or tweak them by adding little bit here and little bit there ...if i do that I'm worried that if i get the one i like i won't remember how much of what was in it :p

maybe i should just toss it, rinse the bottle and start over...but with 3ml sample only (even though it will make the calculations a pain in the booty), so I don't waste my nic or pg and vg and flavors...right??

How did you make it? I found my first few samples to have sucked a few days ago. Then, I got some lab equipment on Monday, and made exact measurements. A world of difference between being exact, and trying to do it by drops. Also, I see it often that you should start with a small percentage of flavor, then add if it's not enough. But remember, if you think you added too much flavoring, you can cut it back with a 1 to 1 ratio of pg/vg.

Also, don't toss it. Figure out what you don't like about it, and do something to change it. Who cares if you don't remember what you did. Just vape it, don't waste it.

i agree, when i started diy i couldnt wait to try my juices, but the longer you wait the better the flavor, think of it as fine aged wine, scotch or any type of aged liquor you may drink!

when did you make it?
1) Usual rule of thumb wait a minimum of 24 hrs to test batch, 48 hrs is better.
2) Flavors could be too strong.

Hope this helped some. Good Luck :) and have some fun !!!!!!!!!!!!!

chocolate is a very powerful flavor, never tried peppermint, but cinnamon is a great flavor i have a great recipe for big red if any one wants to try.

12ml mix
18mg from 100mg concentrate
2.2 ml of nic
7.4 ml of vg
30 drops of sweetener
25 drops of cinnamon
5 drops of spearmint

ps dont use in any carts, will make them leak, only use in attys to drip with.

I stopped analogs on 4/20/11. Successful and happy about that. Mostly vaping ejuice from Vermillion River. Then I dived off into DIY without enough preparation. I have been reading all the threads on ECF I can to find out about how to DIY. Thinking I was prepared I purchased my nic juice incorrectly. I vape @ 10mg and I purchased nic juice @ 50/50 PG/VG 12mg. That was a really bad move on my part. I have several flavors I am anxious to try but "ejuicemeup" keeps flashing on the screen about add VG or add PG so I am pretty much held to making 50/50 mixes @ 6mg and what I've made is pretty bad. Don't I need to order stronger nic juice? At least @ 48mg? Wouldn't that make pretty much any volume of eliquid? Anybody who is willing to help out is so greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

thanks for the recipe...i dont' have any cinn. or spearmint though...not yet at least...i am slowly increasing my supplies :D

thanks for th eheads up...ur right...no wasting...i'll see if I can tweak it today!! I wish there was a local place I could buy some cartos from....I hate waiting for mail...I have some attys but I'm so sick and tired of dripping.....it gets really annoying..i know its supposed to be the best flavor but I have found that I like the fluxo's...they have pretty clean flavor ...they're just a pain in the "you-know-what" to refill
