Just got back from seeing my new doctor and he congratulated me for quitting smoking and when I told him I did it with ecigs, he gave me a thumbs up! Lungs and airways are all clear. I told him I don't need the CPAP machine anymore and he said "GREAT!"

As a nurse, this really strikes me as tremendous news. Congratulations!!

I saw my doctor over here in the UK this week. Told him I had given up smoking. Great he says. I am vaping instead. No I am not allowed to do that. I must use the patches and give up altogether. I told him a couple of years ago I had given up for 14 years after smoking for 35 years. When I told him I had gone back to smoking because I was not right in the head even though I had tried pills from him that didn't work he suggested I would be better on the pills than e cigs. I think it is a case of not invented here. Our National Health Service has a policy on e cigs...... Use patches and give up altogether. E cigs do not even get a mention like they do not exist.

Not a medical advice just my personal experience.
I started with 50/50 PG and 12 mg nic. I was experiencing a lot of cough and "tender lungs" , switched to VG only and
aside of a some phlegm all my other problems pretty much went away.
Make my own juices but when I vape already made juice I chose highest concentration of VG and works for me because I found Pg irritating my throat and lungs.
Regarding the higher ohm... depends on what you use for battery, if you have a variable voltage device it's won't make much of a difference
because you can adapt the voltage to whatever resistance you have on. There is a graph around ECF showing you what to set for each resistance use that for guidance and tweak based on taste of vapor you get.

Hope it helps

Im like you I was vaping all PG still had that dryness like I did when smoking. I switched to all vg and some 50/50
a lot better....

That's fantastic! Hope there's more drs like Dr.x :)

My partner had found vaping is making her cough more. She first tried cinnamon and realized that was no good. Stayed away from vaping for a while and just the other day tried to go back we got a 50/50 pg/VG mix she did very little over the past couple of days dripping on a Atty and she started to cough again last night.

Anyone else with this experience? Will a 30/70 pg/VG mix work better? Or I been thinking a higher resistance Atty.

Any suggestions or experience would be greatly appreciated!

Cinnamon is probably not a good flavor to start out with because it can be harsh. Has she tried different flavors? My neighbor had problems with coughing in the beginning so he always had a glass of water or whatever nearby. He doesn't seem to have that problem much anymore so maybe that's something that will resolve itself given a little time? Vaping can be drying so it is advised to make sure you're hydrating (and that's good for you anyway) Adjusting to higher VG might help or lowering the nic or even trying a bottom coil for a cooler vape. Just don't give up. It's worth it to not be taking in all those chemicals. If she can work through it she'll be able to help someone else with the same problem. Hope you can figure it out.
