Highly addicted to nicotine - You were a already smoker thus by definition already addicted to nicotine and yet you blame vapor for hooking you on nicotine? Really?!?!

I never said that, I even admitted to getting carried away with different strengths of e-liquid. It was my own fault as I stated because I did not know I was getting over nicotined and having bad side effects. Too much nicotine probably gave me nicotine poisoning, I vaped 36mg strengths very often too. I can't say what the mouths were like, I guess like cold sores but in my mouth. Then an area of my gum got inflamed and I couldn't really eat anything without it hurting, I quite vaping for a day and it went away. As I said before, I think it was a combination of withdraws, dehydration and vaping too much.

Its in your original post, #4.

Honestly i felt like after reading your post, wow this guy is blaming a lot of his withdrawal symptoms on ecigs. You really have to take into account vaping is NOT smoking, and switching from one to the other is a BIG change for your body to make. With the research that has been done, and the experiences of all of the vapers around, its obviously a good change too. You could, as you have said also have been vaping way too much, maybe not drinking enough water, etc. However its in your best interest to modify your behavior to accustom to, and switch to this safer alternative. Good luck, and dont feel bad if you do smoke a little, studies have shown that even reducing the amount of cigarettes you use to be good for your health. I was a dual user for a couple weeks because of the almost instant sore throats and headaches i would get when initially picking up vaping. It took me a good 2-3 months before i had 0 side effects of quitting analogs, and im thrilled to be on the road to a longer and healthier life

Yea at first when I posted the topic I thought alot it did have to with the devices and liquid. But after hearing some people give advise and also thinking about it I realized alot of things and reposted some follow up comments. I understand what everyone is saying now, maybe the problem was quiting so sudden and going right into vaping. Then vaping too much, but please don't think I've put anyone down. I really look up to those who only vape and can do it on a daily basis without problems. One day I hope to be one of those people :)

Oh no i wouldnt be offended, ive been happily vaping for 7 months now and i dont ever feel side effects anymore. I would definitely try to ease more into it. If you are getting a side effect, you can always ask about it here. A lot of us have had the same issues as you have, and others you didnt even mention when making the switch. My brother was just like you, and i cant get him off analogs at all. I bought him a bunch of stuff, and he went full tilt into vaping. He got a headache and felt tired and slept a lot maybe 5 days into it. He then decided that ecigs must be bad and stopped. I went over it all with him and he believes me to some extent, and on occasion will vape now instead of a cig, but its rare, and im always a little sad to see he doesnt trust it enough to stick with it.

My first couple of months were not so great, sure they stated out fine for the first month. But after that things progressed the second month brought great problems.

1. Bad headaches
2. Depression
3. Insomnia
4. Highly addicted to nicotine
5. Heart problems
6. Bad mouth sores associated to warm vapor.
7. Extreme Tiredness
8. Loss of Smell
9 Loss of Taste
10. Spending alot of money on parts.
11. Parts failing.
12. Heartburn
13. Spending alot of money on E-liquid
14. Addicting Flavors

Know you may give the advise of, well you didn't use your stuff right. But the truth is that I did exactly what everyone else said. Followed instructions on parts, treat them with care. When I wasn't getting satisfied with vaping people told me to up my nicotine strength so I did. I'm not saying vaping is bad because I really think its a great alternative to cigarettes. I maybe a rare case were vaping isn't enough for me and I experience more side effects then others. If it works for you then I say stick with it. I quite vaping and went back to cigarettes. After two days I tried vaping again since a company sent me some replacement atomizers for my ego battery. Now I can tell the difference because it seems too harsh, I was vaping 24mg and vaping it like crazy. I may have been vaping too much. These liquids are highly concentrated nicotine. I urge everyone to play it safe and not get carried away. I still vape and it helps cut down on smoking so I do still like it but now I'm very careful about how much I use.

Well as a new vaper (1 week in) that is rather disheartening. I hope your experience is an isolated one.

Of course, as with ANYTHING, there will always be exceptional or rare incidents. There is no technology, or consumer product that gets 100% positive feedback. Never has been, never will be. I'm just hoping your experience is one of those rare experiences.

Also, what others said. You have to take into consideration possible dehydration, and also possible side effects from quitting analogs.

As for me, the only symptom I'm having, which is starting to get to me, is a sore tongue. I've searched the health and side effects subforum (i forget what it is called), but didn't see any threads about what symptom I have specifically.

Basically, Ive been getting this clear coating my tongue, that is irritating. I can scratch it off, but I can only reach so far on my tongue, I can't get to the stuff further back.

On top of that, it seems my taste buds on the back of my tongue are inflamed or something. My tongue even tastes funny in my mouth.

I'm hoping this symptom will just go away......sometimes symptoms come and go when you make a lifestyle change, or try a new medication, or something similar (like starting ecigs)

Your tongue is healing, youll notice in a few weeks when that stops happening your sense of taste becomes heightened! The joys of getting off the cigs :)

Just make sure you drink plenty of water and id say use mouthwash a few times a day to keep germs away from your healing tissue

Well that is good news!

I've definitely increased my water intake, although I've always been one to keep hydrated well.

Unfortunately I ran out of mouthwash yesterday, and I skipped it at wal-mart today (even debated it in the store, lol, but I decided to skip it). I'll have to pick some up (I have SOME at the house, but I like the non-alcohol non-burning ones, haha)

Thanks for the reply

Wow, so many great tips. and some good stories too. I'm actually glad I posted this topic for help. Of course I should of worded it a bit different but I can't believe all the great advise I'm reading. I will definitley not give up on vaping. The truth is I love vaping, The combination of the vision spinner and Joyetech Ego-T tank atty is working wonderfully. I got it loaded with RY4 and I enjoy using it every now and then.

Guys ..call me insensitive but I aint buying it...you dont simply go from this ^^^^ to This....I still think these bullit points were placed in this forum for a reason...and if he has had a change of heart ..he needs to edit his OP and get theses false accusations out of the reach of potential cig quitters / new Vapors...if he does not believe it is true why is it still there?

Thank you for that idea, I edited the OP to describe what exactly happened.

why not delete the bullet points my friend?...is there a reason for having them there if you have a disclaimer under them?? this seems very strange to me you can edit them out if you want to...I dont understand your point bro.. although I appreciated seeing the disclaimer and if you truly feel that way why leave the points?..

You obviously did not read my response that the mouth sores are a temporary side effect of quitting smoking that some people get and to google it. people get them even without vaping and quitting. OF COURSE they went away when you started smoking again.. you stopped quitting. *face palm*

Yes I did read your response, but others who had the same problem, their mouth sores went away after a few weeks. I became worried since mine kept coming back after a month. I never quite smoking for longer then a week so some withdraws were unknown to me. All of these issues were cleared up by edit of original post. In addition, sides effects were listed with possible reasons for them. It is important that everyone knows how to treat vaping so they do not make mistakes, have side effects and quite vaping. If I give this information it will help new vapors learn how to control amounts and strengths they use without causing harm from over nicotine and dehydration.

As I stated in previous posts, I plan to slowly quite smoking and increase vaping until I am adjusted. Many others said that some people need to do this or it becomes hard and they have many side effects. I think that is good advise and I am going to do that.

I haven't seen this mentioned, but this was some advice from my doctor, because I was also having what I considered were heart problems and heartburn issues. I honestly thought I was having a heart attack. Ended up in the ER, had a chest xray, and ended up getting diagnosed with a twitching esophagus and I have an appt to have my gallbladder looked at, being the root cause of the twitching esophagus.

If you are already having issues with your gallbladder (70%-80% of people with gallstones never know they have them.) it could be upsetting your gallbladder. It can cause heartburn, a twitchy esophagus, upset stomach..a lot of different things. Just a head's up.

My doc is extraordinarily in support of my use of ecigs, but nicotine can cause issues with parts of your body that you didn't think about. I certainly didn't think it would affect my gallbladder.

Sorry to hear you are having so many problems. I hope some info here might help you get it straightened out.

The top half of your issues sound like withdrawal from cigarettes, keep in mind depression can form from the loss of the MAOIs in cigarettes as well as sheer shock to the body of not getting your 6000 daily chemicals. As far as some of the other issues I think you may want to up your water intake, lower your nicotine level, try switching to VG/PG depending on what you are currently vaping, and see your doctor.

I've noticed that smoking can mask a lot of more serious issues and when you quit they don't. I always had acid reflux and smoking made it worse but somehow it didn't bother me until I quit and started vaping. I was 100% sure vaping was causing horrible heart burn but it turned out I just needed medication and now years later I can even go without that if I wanted to.

You aren't just quitting smoking, you are quitting your routine that your entire life is based around. Try doing exactly what you did when you smoked, except replace the cigarette with an e-cig. Go outside if you did that, walk to the store, etc. I think smokers are addicted to a lot more than simply nicotine and hand to mouth, its a life dictating habit.
