Well I'm having problem with my water heater . I think the the vapor in my home must have damaged the pipes.

Better run to the store for a pack of cigarettes!

I am not sure this kind of person is a plant as the rationale used is that of an addict. Dry drunks will find any life excuse to start drinking again. I never underestimate the power the addiction that tobacco has on some because I know the hold it had on me. Fortunately my addiction was confined to nicotine and the hand mouth thing so vaping worked like a charm. Others have different and more complex addictions to cigarettes and will find any justification as to why vaping does not or will not work for them. Wish I had the solution to this. WTAs are a good suggestion to try but the OP sounds hell bent on returning to the analogs.

lol, Been smoking for years, never had plumbing trouble. Start vaping 2 months ago and I now get a leaking pipe under my sink......vaping has improved my health...but seems to harm my plumbing. :)

VG is a laxative. ;) I actually like having....an easier time in the bathroom.

In my opinion you certainly did receive and take some suggestions that I consider bad advice.

I can't believe anyone suggested that a 1 pack a day of 'light cigarettes' smoker should start with 24 mg nic juice and to go up in nic level from there.

I was a 2 ~ 2.5 pack a day full strength cig smoker, I started vaping 28 ~ 32 mg nic.
The 32 mg would make my head spin in just a few drags.
By the end of the 1st week it was easy to tell even the 28mg nic mg was too strong to chain vape or use as an all day vape.
I was down to 24 mg nic by the end of the second week, down to 18mg by the 5th week, now I use 10 ~ 12 mg nic.

When you quit smoking you are going to experience cravings and withdraw symptoms no matter what method is used.

The cravings can be somewhat controlled by vaping but for quite a few of us it still takes a lot of old fashion willpower to deal with the cravings and withdraw symptoms on a day to day basis.

Inhaling burning tobacco and the side effects of prescribed smoking secession drugs is far, far more dangerous than vaping if even the tiniest amount of common sense is used.

It also takes enough smarts to listen to what your own body is telling you and never ignore what it says.

My only input on this has to do with the dense clouds of vapor that many people seem to want. I don't quite get it. It's not like a cigarette produces smoke signals that can be seen on the horizon. If I vape too much I sometimes get a bit of a soreness on the roof of my mouth - never mouth sores. The solution is to cut back a bit, and drink more water. Also I brush my teeth with tea tree oil, in fact have made my own toothpaste for 20+ years. I'm sure this helps as well. I'm surprised the mods haven't urged the OP to change the title of the thread, as it's misleading. I'm sure a small minority of folks do have a bad experience with vaping, as with anything else. We don't know if he's sensitive to PG. We don't know what kind of juice he was using. There are several possibilities but I'd hate to see anyone prevented from trying vaping because of one person's real or imagined problems.

My first couple of months were not so great, sure they stated out fine for the first month. But after that things progressed the second month brought great problems.

1. Bad headaches
2. Depression
3. Insomnia
4. Highly addicted to nicotine
5. Heart problems
6. Bad mouth sores associated to warm vapor.
7. Extreme Tiredness
8. Loss of Smell
9 Loss of Taste
10. Spending alot of money on parts.
11. Parts failing.
12. Heartburn
13. Spending alot of money on E-liquid
14. Addicting Flavors

Know you may give the advise of, well you didn't use your stuff right. But the truth is that I did exactly what everyone else said. Followed instructions on parts, treat them with care. When I wasn't getting satisfied with vaping people told me to up my nicotine strength so I did. I'm not saying vaping is bad because I really think its a great alternative to cigarettes. I maybe a rare case were vaping isn't enough for me and I experience more side effects then others. If it works for you then I say stick with it. I quite vaping and went back to cigarettes. After two days I tried vaping again since a company sent me some replacement atomizers for my ego battery. Now I can tell the difference because it seems too harsh, I was vaping 24mg and vaping it like crazy. I may have been vaping too much. These liquids are highly concentrated nicotine. I urge everyone to play it safe and not get carried away. I still vape and it helps cut down on smoking so I do still like it but now I'm very careful about how much I use.

Hmm.. half of these 'dangers' seem to be related to common side effects of quitting smoking, while the other half seem to be common problems caused by smoking cigarettes. So.. vaping is dangerous and smoking is better ?

I suppose if a person wanted to continue to smoke, they will justify it by any means, but no need to demonize vaping.

Btw.. in a later post you said that the mouth sores and lack of energy bothered you the most. These are definitely common symptoms of quitting smoking, not vaping. do a search on the internet, you will see.

The giant clouds of vapor ties into the hobby aspect of vaping, right there with shiny engraved casings, polishing compound and overloaded tech. Smoking was never considered a hobby, either. With vaping, we're missing out on some things, and some of us need to make up for it in other places to stay interested.

These three are the only ones I can agree with you. I dont have any comment on the rest because as everyone already mentioned, its from quitting smoking withdrawal symptoms. And some others are the opposite from the 99.99% of people who quit smoking and went into vaping.

Well the ANTZ's will really love this post. Fortunately for every one post like this, there are thousands that are the exact opposite.

A number of those symptons are easily related to quiting analogs and not due to vaping. I am no psychologists, but I have read that some people's personalities are "highly addictive" in nature and overdo certain activities. I'm wondering if any of that is in play. But I really don't have the knowledge to know.

Maybe snus would be a better alternative to smoking or vaping for the OP. It's worked for millions in Sweden.

the mods will get this one I hope...the more i ponder it ...I am pretty sure its not legit...how does he know he has "heart problems"..."addictive flavors???"...really??...

I have been 100% cig free for 4 months now ...none of these "symptoms" have happened to me not saying the poor guy isnt experiencing these things ..I just doubt its from Vaping.

I have changed the title of this thread to : My Experience With Electronic Devices

Please have a look through : Health, Safety and E-Smoking

In particular : http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...hen-quitting-tobacco-changing-ecigarette.html

edit to add, noteworthy :

Section 6: Assorted Notes
2. Tendency to assign all new symptoms to e-cigarette use
There is a strong compulsion in many people to assume that all/any new medical symptoms must be related to their new electronic cigarette usage. In 98% of cases these are found to be normal symptoms of tobacco withdrawal which they were unaware of - such symptoms are very wide-ranging and can occur for up to six months. In some cases, a full check-up reveals there is an unrelated medical issue. Finally, some symptoms are due to intolerance to a particular brand of e-liquid or type of ingredient.

It just seems funny to me a person would list these affects Nicotine is addicting. This person is trying to quit smoking so the addiction is there right? Flavors are addicting? Come on now These flavors mimic things we like most can be found in any grocery store. Fruit candy come on how is a flavor addicting! I guess its possible this guy is for real and is making misinformed decisions and observations about his smoking with draw side affects but Im just having a hard time swallowing it.
As far as poor preforming crap that's our fault we let China dump every piece of crap and buy regardless so thats our fault for letting things go that road.
