Well I am very glad to see so many responses and advise lol. First off I must say I am not some kind of troll in anyway and I do not support big tobacco at all. I'll try and clear up some confusion. As someone posted earlier, some of these symptoms could have been from too much nicotine. The heart problems, sometimes I would lay down and feel like my heart flutter and beat alittle fast, thats what I mean't. I take responsibitly for my own actions and realize I got carried as I stated in previous posts.
The money spent on parts was a learning process, I was new to vaping and had to try different things until I found what worked.
Yes I have chewed tobacco since I was 8 years old and quite around 19years old, my teeth are not the worst but then again I do have alot of cavities and slightly worn gums.
I really didn't know, most people say their side effects go away after a couple weeks. It had been two months and I still had side effects.
Someone else on here said they stayed up late because of vaping, they told me to try and stop awhile before going to sleep.
More water probably would have helped.
Loss of taste and smell, May have been vapers tongue and also allergies so I'm not blaming this intirerly on vaping. I know I didn't do the best on keeping hydrated.

I hope I cleared up some confusion. I know some people were offended because vaping for them changed their lives, which is what I want too. I mean't in no way to offend anyone. I just posted this topic for help, and I thank everyone for their help. There is things I know now that could really help me have a better vaping experience. Like I said, I still vape and its good doing it in moderation. But when you get carried away and end up with nicotine poisoning you have to stop and rethink things over. I know this now and will improve on it and do better.

Oh and yes flavors are addicting to me, Its not a bad thing. Maybe I just listed that for conversation but what I found is the flavor can make you want more and more of it. So its hard to stop for awhile when you like the flavor sooo much. I became obsessed with a few flavors lol. But its all about willpower, and people are different too, thats just how I felt about it.

I went and looked at your post and wish Id of thought of that before I jumped on the they are out to get us band wagon. Not very welcoming of me I apologies!
I made a lot of the same mistakes as you did when I started there is just so much crap out there! You seem to be drawn to every poor preforming device there is;-) I would suggest you get a 510 standard atomizer and a cartomizer tank. These are tried and true. The learning curb is very small and they just plane work!
You have seen cheap dose not work so well. If you decide to give vaping a shot shoot me a PM I will be happy to answer any questions you could have.

Ok yea I'll do that. I had alot of trouble with clearomizers and wasted money on them. But just a few days ago I got two joyetech Ego-t tank atomizers that are working great. The first one I got was a dud so the company sent me two extras which was very nice. So I am happy now I got something good. I like cool vapor so tank attys are perfect for me I like them alot. I'm on the fence whether to a Vision Eternity Rba, its a drip / tank atty. People have said it has a weak point to it, so I'm leery on getting it but wicks and coils are dirt cheap for it. Ya I'm learning, and ya I've never quite smoking for so long before so who knows what kind of effects I may have in withdraw, I don't know how long withdraws can even last. Combine withdraws with the over nicotine that I did vaping I'm sure most of the problems were related to that.

Again, I am sorry that you have been having so many issues. I hope that you are successful in quitting smoking!

I had to switch to slightly lower nic levels at night and imposed a couple of silly rules on myself so that I wasn't chain vaping before bed. Also - I have never been good about drinking water. I am usually an all day coffee and tea drinker. I found this Blackberry/Pomegranten iced green tea that seems to do a much better job of keeping me hydrated. Probably not as good as drinking water - but I just can't seem to make myself do that.

Again, good luck! I hope you figure it all out and are successful.

PS - beautiful dog!

Honestly the OP's first post was a bit clumsily worded, but does not appear to be the work of an ANTZ. Of course with that incompetent anti-risk reduction zombie Prue Talbot running around sites and cherry picking negative posts for her latest "study", it is hard to blame people for jumping on the OP's comment. Fear and paranoia are the weapons of her and her allies, always preying on those who should be on the same side and managing to create dissension. I for one will not be satisfied until her work and reputation are fully discredited as a travishamockery to science, knowledge, and public debate.

While the post did sound a somewhat like a mole post, I will take the poster at his word.

OP, keep on trying to get off the analogs. Good luck. I do think most of your symptoms were related to smoking withdrawals and were not directly related to vaping. Some were made worse by dehydration from vaping possibly.

Thanks everyone for your help. The most addicting flavor to me is RY4. There was another called Pall Mall which has a nutty kind of flavor that was really good. Those two flavors are soo good its hard not to vape them. When I restock my liquids I'll get low and medium strengths to adjust when it gets close to going to sleep. And the advise on drinks is great too, I'll have to get out there and get some. I'm kinda lazy.

P.s Sorry for the clumsy wording of my original post, sometimes I tend to type up something without going back and checking how it might sound to others. But i've never heard of ANTZ. It really makes me angry to hear people like are around here, if it was up to me I'd make the FDA regulate cigarettes so they only contain nicotine and none of the other chemicals.

My first couple of months were not so great, sure they stated out fine for the first month. But after that things progressed the second month brought great problems.

1. Bad headaches
2. Depression
3. Insomnia
4. Highly addicted to nicotine
5. Heart problems
6. Bad mouth sores associated to warm vapor.
7. Extreme Tiredness
8. Loss of Smell
9 Loss of Taste
10. Spending alot of money on parts.
11. Parts failing.
12. Heartburn
13. Spending alot of money on E-liquid
14. Addicting Flavors

Know you may give the advise of, well you didn't use your stuff right. But the truth is that I did exactly what everyone else said. Followed instructions on parts, treat them with care. When I wasn't getting satisfied with vaping people told me to up my nicotine strength so I did. I'm not saying vaping is bad because I really think its a great alternative to cigarettes. I maybe a rare case were vaping isn't enough for me and I experience more side effects then others. If it works for you then I say stick with it. I quite vaping and went back to cigarettes. After two days I tried vaping again since a company sent me some replacement atomizers for my ego battery. Now I can tell the difference because it seems too harsh, I was vaping 24mg and vaping it like crazy. I may have been vaping too much. These liquids are highly concentrated nicotine. I urge everyone to play it safe and not get carried away. I still vape and it helps cut down on smoking so I do still like it but now I'm very careful about how much I use.

Far be it for me to point out what others have mentioned in five pages but most of what you mentioned has more to do with quitting smoking then vaping. The post may better be renamed, my experience with quitting smoking.

I can't pretend to know what you've been through as I didn't smoke traditional cigarettes before switching to vapor and i am not you but most find a great degree of success in using these to quit smoking.

Some corrections...

E cigarettes are less addictive than cigarettes because the nicotine is absorbed through the mouth rather than the lungs where it enters the blood stream slower.

Headaches can be caused by too much nicotine but they can also be caused by too much oxygen to the brain. That is a product of your brain function returning to normal.

Nicotine can cause insomnia as it is a stimulant but because less is absorbed from vaping it is less than smoking.

Depression. Really??

Highly addicted to nicotine? I think that is a construct you've created in your mind.

Vapor has a lower temperature than smoke.

Extreme tiredness? again more oxygen to the brain.

Heartburn? Maybe. If your throat is dried out then it could cause some reflux. I've had it once or twice very moderately.

Addicted to flavors? Really.

I looked at the older posts from the OP before I made a comment. I saw no reason to come down on him.

And I, for one, would like to thank you for your diligence. Since I joined ECF a little over a year ago, it's been a very welcoming place where people with a common interest (quitting smoking and hobby vaping) can come to get advice and share their experiences. While I understand the pressure of recent political events, I would really hate to see this community give into the pressures of fear campaigns by over reacting to "questionable" one-off posts. The reaction to this post was minimized, but I do see a trend developing in recent months that is somewhat disturbing, and my hope is that it does not reach a critical mass of paranoia. 'Nuff said on that topic. :D

To the OP: If you like cooler vapor, you may want to try many of the bottom coil clearomizers that are available. I've used the Kanger MT3 in the past with very good results, and I currently use the Kanger EVOD, with even better results. The EVOD has slightly warmer vapor than the MT3, but it's still cooler than any of the top coil clearos I've used.

I see the OP has changed the title of the thread, or was it a mod? Good job!

I'd just comment further that PVs aren't smoking devices. They're electronic equipment, made to replace - not simulate - the smoking experience. There is a learning curve which can be a little steep while you're learning what works best for you. I'm still a newbie, and I'm still very much on that learning curve. I'm lucky that there are a couple vape stores in my city that are run by extremely helpful and dedicated individuals. And ECF is an invaluable resource, not just for knowledge but for help and friendship. So hang in there, ShaneBlack, and I believe you'll find that vaping is a viable alternative.

Shane, I'm so glad you're not an ANTZ mole. That post did have me wondering! :) Now, I'm not a doctor and I didn't even sleep in a Holiday Inn Express last night but...you became addicted to nicotine before puberty. I'm thinking it's going to take your body longer than average to get over the withdrawal symptoms of all the chemicals in cigarettes and other tobacco products. Someone mentioned Swedish Snus (not that Camel crap). You may want to look into it and make your own decision on it. It has helped people with the transition. Keep hanging tough Shane. You can do it!

First off, let me say that for most people the best thing to do which switching to vaping is to first pay attention to when they smoke, how often they smoke, and how much time on average it takes you to smoke 1 cigarette. Then when you start vaping, STICK TO YOUR NORMAL SMOKE SCHEDULE and only vape per session for the amount of time it would take you to smoke 1 cigarette. If you switch to vaping and do it 1000000000000 times more than you smoked then sure you might have some problems.

Then again if you try to quit drinking soft drinks by shoving a water hose down your throat on full blast, you will encounter problems as well. It's not the water's fault, nor the hoses fault, it is the user's fault.

As to your specifically mentioned "dangers", please see my responses in blue

1. Bad headaches
2. Depression
3. Insomnia
5. Heart problems
7. Extreme Tiredness
8. Loss of Smell
9 Loss of Taste
12. Heartburn

ALL of the above are associated with quitting smoking PERIOD...regardless of the method you use. Vaping probably did not cause this, more than likely the lack of the 4000 chemicals in regular smoke caused this.

4. Highly addicted to nicotine - You were a already smoker thus by definition already addicted to nicotine and yet you blame vapor for hooking you on nicotine? Really?!?!

6. Bad mouth sores associated to warm vapor. - Associated by whom? Did a doctor tell you this was the cause or did you just "decide" on your own it was.
Also, what kind of sores? Bleeding gums is also a side effect of quitting smoking regardless of the method used.
Using mouthwash at night just before bed helps.

That leaves us with the points below. Now I will say that yes vaping does have some cost to it, but if it is costing you more than smoking, then you probably have a spending problem. My wife and I have spent exactly $306.77 on vaping since January (hardware AND juice). In that time we would have spent just over $1000 on cigarettes if we were still smoking. So once again this is not an issue with vaping but an issue of self control.

10. Spending alot of money on parts.
11. Parts failing.
13. Spending alot of money on E-liquid
14. Addicting Flavors

Bottom line: really nothing in your post is a "Danger of Electronic Devices" but is more the results of quitting smoking for someone that cannot control their spending, or their consumption of something they enjoy.

Nailed it!!

I never said that, I even admitted to getting carried away with different strengths of e-liquid. It was my own fault as I stated because I did not know I was getting over nicotined and having bad side effects. Too much nicotine probably gave me nicotine poisoning, I vaped 36mg strengths very often too. I can't say what the mouths were like, I guess like cold sores but in my mouth. Then an area of my gum got inflamed and I couldn't really eat anything without it hurting, I quite vaping for a day and it went away. As I said before, I think it was a combination of withdraws, dehydration and vaping too much.
