My Experience With InnoVapor

After being a smoker for many years, I heard of E-Cigs (SmokeAssassin, to be specific) on the radio, and knew I had to try it. I moseyed on over to my local smoke shop, and they happened to have a test model (N-Joy), so I hit it. I was amazed, other than the quick dissipation of the fog, it was almost a perfect emulation. However, I didn't have the $100 to invest, so I went home to do some research.

After finding this website, asking around, it appeared that the Joye 510 was the best way to go for my budget and preferences. I looked for a source, and Ruyan seemed to be a good deal, but the shipping was reportedly slow. After asking around a bit, I was pointed at InnoVapor as "the best place to get started" because of their "awesome service and quick shipping, as well as the prices!" So after a look'sie, the prices were indeed modest, and the site was recommended by a member, so I placed my order. The following chronicles my experience with InnoVapor.

On July 7th, around 10AM I placed my order for a 510 set. It was described on the website as the following:
1 x 510 RECHARGER|2 MANUAL batteries|2 ATOMIZERS|CARTS|ECO|

So I went ahead and ordered it, as that was exactly what I and my roommate, co-investor and owner of the second unit, were looking for.

Nearly a week later, on July 13th, I emailed Innovapor to see where my package was at. Others had reported receiving a tracking number or shipping email, and I hadn't yet, so I emailed them the following:
Just wondering what's goin' on over there, shipping still says processing, and no email from UPS.. It'll be a week since I placed my order tomorrow.. Are you guys just waiting on a shipment from China, or what? I'd recommend placing some sort of 'Hey, we're busy right now' note on your site, as of right now, you guys have some pretty rave reviews about your shipping, but it'd be a shame if you lost that trend, a note on the page would make people more comfortable with delays

On the same day, about 4 hours later (which is commendable,) I received the following response:
USPS didn't comply with us (the server wouldn't let us print labels) and with the huge rush of orders we ran out of product. Both issues have been resolved. We are going through a new company for labels and our shipment from the UK will land Wednesday. your order WILL be shipped out Thursday for sure but we are shooting for Wednesday.

Thanks for being patient Landon. We are planning to keep up those rave reviews.

At this point, I was a bit discouraged, as I find 8-9 days to get a product in the mail stream very unacceptable. Addresses can be hand written, and postage likewise can be self-stuck. Regardless, things were what they were, and I decided I would stick it out, rather than ask for a refund or issue a charge back.

After getting antsy, I checked their website to see if they had updated anything, and noticed the particular set I ordered had been relabeled as the following:
510 NO CHARGER KIT - Stock Up on 510 parts!

Obviously, I became concerned about this and emailed them ASAP. The following email was sent on July 15th, at 4:30AM:
Looking at your website, it seems the kit I ordered is now listed '510 no charger', however when I ordered it, it was listed '510 charger', which is also what is in my invoice Email. Just wanted to verify that I'll be getting a charger, I don't suppose the gear would be of much use without it!

On the same day, at 11:41PM I received the following response:
Here is the deal with the "recharger" kit. The original kit did not come with a recharger!! (i know very confusing recharger doesn't come with a recharger). so we changed the name to nocharger. that being said we realize that people ordered it thinking it would have a charger and so we will include one.

sorry for the confusion but thanks for shopping with us!

Well there it was, I was put at ease. Also worth mentioning, I received a general email, that I assume was sent to all customers at the time, that nobody would be receiving the brass-banded atomizers, but rather the "new" joye model with 3x the lifespan! Figured I should be happily vaping no more than a week later!

I received my order from Innovapor from InnoVapor on July 18th, (10 days from ordering) and opened it up immediately. The unit seemed quality, they threw in some business cards and an extra 3ml bottle of EcoPure. However there was no charger, the units were dead after 2 puffs, and the atomizers were the brass band type. The type I was told I wouldn't be getting, because it was inferior..

Being very upset that I STILL couldn't enjoy vaping yet, and that Ruyan would have probably had everything here by now, I emailed InnoVapor the following on July 18th:
As noted below, you guys said I'd get a charger with my order, but I didn't get it.. Also didn't get the new atty's I was told about in my email.. I'm hoping there is a second package en route, because I really like to like the mom and pop shops, but I have to say, I'm getting a bit disappointed at this point.. First I waited way too long to try the e-cig, and then once I decided I liked it, there was no charger to continue use.. Back to analogs then until the charger shows up I suppose, I really do hope it was either a separate package, or that this one gets priority. I really do want to like you guys, I hope ya help work this out as best possible.

Later that day, I got the following response:
I apologize for the extra delay! Your order must have gone out before our man in shipping put the charger in your kit. If the charger is not on the way I will make sure it is out at the start of the week.

Over a week later on July 26th, I still had no new packages from InnoVapor.. So, feeling utterly raped as a consumer at this point, but still wanting to believe, I sent an email. Again.
Still no sign of my charger.. It's been about a week already.. Did you guys remember to ship it out to me?
The same day, I received the following:
MY NAME IN ALL-CAPS,

I am sorry that it has not reached you yet, I put in another order for it to ship to tomorrow in case it was lost.

We really are trying to get all the bugs worked out, when the recharger problem happened we had to go through every order and make sure that they were going out, I am sorry that yours was overlooked or lost in the confusion.

It should be there mid-week, depending on USPS.

So what I was being told, was that as of Sunday the 26th of July, a total of 19 days after my order, it STILL wasn't totally shipped out. Wow. To sum up, it has been a total of 3 weeks and 2 days since my order, and still no charger, let alone the promised new atomizers..

I have wanted to have my mind changed since the moment this experience went bad, but I've lost faith. Needless to say, the business cards sent in the original package were tossed away, as I'll not likely be telling anyone about InnoVapor.

I will give them the fact that they email me back no more than a day after I contact them. However, I really don't see the point in rushed emails when they're full of lies. Let alone when you can't even devote the 15 minutes you spent emailing me lies, to shipping my package.

So, my rating of InnoVapor CURRENTLY, is as follows. This may change depending on if I EVER receive my charger/atty's.

Code:
Customer Service: 5/10 - Emails are quick, but full of lies.
Shipping Time: 3/10 - If you want your product within the month, better look elsewhere.
Product Quality: 7/10 - EcoPure comes in nice bottles, but the 'Throat Hit' is too much for me, and also of note is that my 'Menthol' flavor had no menthol in it.
 
Overall Rating: 5/10.

So, let me get this straight...you ordered a kit from IV that clearly stated what was included ( you even posted it above )

The description for that kit clearly stated what was involved and why.

The brass band atty's are not inferior nor has anyone ever said they were. There were questions about the new atty';s so they probably decided to send the brass band until they researched the newer atty's. What you received most of us have and they work wonderfully.

You made the mistake and they are still sending you a charger free of charge. So, I guess when you do receive the charger you'll still be upset at them because you ordered the wrong kit?

He speaks the truth. The recharger kit is for people to restock on consumable parts involved in a 510 its ment to recharge your 510 part supply. It doenst come with a charger.

Which is why they have changed the name of that kit...and it specifically says "Stock up on parts..." or something of that magnitude.

So non of you would have considered "1 x 510 RECHARGER" to mean that the kit omes with 1 510 recharger? Granted, it's all changed now, as I mentioned, and granted they posted the purpose of the package in the forum. However, you think that without reading those posts, and without the new description, that title isn't misleading in any way?

I beg to differ. Maybe if it had been called "510 RECHARGER KIT, INCLUDES:" I would agree.

As far as saying the old atty's are inferior, InnoVapor did, in their email.
All 510 orders will be shipping with the NEW atomizers. These are rated to
last 3x as long as the originals. They are ALL BLACK, no TITAN style with
these atomizers.

Just because you guys had the inside info, doesn't mean everyone who ordered from them did.

I have to say I have had nothing but a GREAT experience with innovapor though it was before they started to be inundated with orders and the the weird new/old atomizer issue cropped up.

I would and will definitely order from Noah in the future if nothing else just for the Ecopure Rich liquid.

Having said that, I completely understand the OP's frustration even to the point wher I think he makes a valid claim re: the wording of the original sale item.

xhorntail....As for the "gold band" atomizers you refer to, they are identical to the "original" non- gold band atty's offered by Innovapor. When IV first went to the newer atomizers, the claim was they were better/longer lasting than the originals. This remains to be see as some folks have issues as to where the new attys are manufactured. Either way the original attys are just fine and are the ones that you will find 90% of all suppliers selling.

I ordered my kit on July 7th before they changed the description...I looked them over and got the kit I wanted. I read the description for each and the description clearly stated what it came with and why.

There was no inside info ...people started asking questions on the forum and Joye supposedly stated that the new atty's weren't made by them. I have the newer atty's and I absolutely love them but there is still reason for IV to investigate and I'm sure they would much rather you have what you ordered as per the description for now while they investigate the newer atty's.

I appreciate everyones sympathy's and even the rebuttals. As I stated in my email, I love to love mom and pop shops, but sometimes the juice isn't worth the squeeze..

If I had an extra usb charger, I'd stick it in an envelope myself. A noob (no offense) shouldn't have to wait this long to use a 510.

I will ship you a 510 USB charger today that you can get by with for now until IV straightens out your original order, as I am 100% sure they will do.

As a previous poster said...you shouldn't have to wait this long to use your new batteries.

I really appreciate the offer, that would be awesome. PM sent, make sure you send me a return address and I'll be sure it gets back to ya once I get my unit (from InnoVapor or elsewhere..) That's the most awesome thing.. car just broke down today, and I'm pulling my hair out over that, thanks for helping to make my day go that much better.

Received my charger yesterday, tested it and it seems to work fine. At this point, I'd say all my review still stands. Although, I really do hope the best for InnoVapor, I just hope they learn to deal with the current client base before trying to expand.

Now you have 2 lol

The troubling part that I think confuses people, is that the product page for this kit still lists it as coming with a the 12" corded charger. Even with the description saying no charger is included.
