Thank you sooo much for your post. It makes me feel tons better about my first day/night trying these. My daughter brought the ecig in and wanted us to try it. She started right away and took off like a natural. I on the other hand still had 3 pks of my reg cigs left and said I would start when they were gone. NO WAY I'm gonna throw those puppies away (as much as they cost nowadays). I tried the ecig a couple times that night. To get the feel of it and see how I liked it.
Found the same problems, it was bigger, harder, and not as satisfying. But I have stuck with it because now I'm 3 days into the ecig and No reg smokes at all. I'm a 2-3pk a day type person and this is a major hurdle in itself. I have ordered more juice with stronger nic levels. Can't wait til they come in. Maybe I won't walk around vaping constantly when they get here.

I am glad it worked out for you. That was my hopes for it. I was so super excited about it, and couldn't wait for it to arrive.
It came in and I slapped it together and took drag from it and got vapor.. I was really excited, and tried and again and got nothing...... nothing..
I charged the batt. up until the light on the charger turned green, and again nothing......
I charged the other batt. up thinking the batt. was bad... nothing..
I'm so disappointed......... my heart is now broken........ lol
so much for my high hopes.... I emailed prosmoke... I hope maybe they will be easy to deal with considering I paid way more than most companies since the reviews were good.
What kind did you get?

Jo, I googled the Ecigs you mentioned. Not a lot of info there, but I don't know anyone who had those particular models. Most of the folks here on the forum start with the Joye 510, KR8, Ego, and a few others. Check out the New Members Forum for reviews and explanations of what others think of their choice in Ecigs.

Taste grows as you break in an atomizer. It's terrrible at first but gets very nice as you use your Ecig. Your taste buds become more able to enjoy the subtle tastes of Ejuice as you recover your ability to smell and taste. Flavors that didn't impress you at first begin to be really good!

When you feel the urge to revert back to tobacco, try vaping a little heavier, wait a few minutes, and feel the urge to smoke fade away. Some of us quit cold turkey and others (me) have drastically reduced our analog consumption over the first few weeks. I still have an analog after a meal. I've dropped from 40 a day to 5 a day in one month. The future will probably see me quitting completely.

Don't feel like you've failed if you have to have an analog. The Ecig allows you to control the physical urges to smoke, but it takes time to overcome the physical "feel" of smoking and the quick hit of the nicotine from an analog. Think of it as a journey over time. You will soon realize that an analog tastes terrible compared to your Ecig.

There are also some other chemical things going on with tobacco that simple nicotine replacement doesn't satisfy. Read this link for some insight into that -> This is your brain on nicotine

Good luck and stick around! This forum is THE place to learn everything there is to know about the conversion to Ecigs.

Thanks Everybody!!! Wow I can't believe how long that was. But thank you for your encouraging words. Do I stink? I bet I do. God that's scary.

I think I'm gonna go order a 510 or an ego with some premium juices. Time to blow a paycheck on my newest obsession!

A couple of tips for you....

With the Eluma, you have to draw really really lightly for a longish period of time before you inhale. It will give you good flavor and a good throat hit.

If you go to the 510 and want a throat hit... you'll probably have to lean heavily into the PG juices.

VG juices are great for vapor volume. However in my case I don't get a throat hit from them.

I just figured all this out by ordering a bunch of different flavors in various PG/VG ratios. I'm currently vaping 18MG 100% PG with no flavor. I know... boring. But I'm still tobacco free.

dontwannadie, did you add some juice to the cart? I had friends who told me theirs wasn't working after the first few minutes so they ran out and bought 2 more kits. I checked and they were not using enough liquid. Once I filled it up and primed it, both of their original kits worked fine. So now they have back ups.

Just want to say that I have been smoking for 25 years and my first hour with an e-cigarette was a little rough but then I stuck too it. Now I'm doing great. I tried a normal cigarette today just to see. After 3 puffs I put it out. Tasted bad and smelled even worse. Glad to have found these.)

I did the same thing, I kept a half a pack of cigs around for over a week... and after about a week of vaping, decided to try and smoke a real cig.. ahhaha it was nasty... and the smell... the pack went in the trash... I am head over heels in love with e cigs and vaping.. I have been a heavy smoker for years, and enjoy smoking, so have never tried to quit, cause I enjoyed it so much. But the beginning effects of the smokers cough, the no tastebuds and crap, was getting to me.. so now I am a happy vaper... no real cigs for almost 6 weeks for me.. now I have my hubby hooked also, and my house isnt smelling like a ashtray and will get to repaint it this summer... never knew how bad the smoke stains and smell actually were...

One thing I really like about this...on the stinking like cigarettes idea....No one from our family liked to come over to our house becuz both my husband and I smoked...We've been vaping for about 2 weeks now....and the house smells better the car smells better...we probably do too and best of all we've thrown away all our dirty ashtrays!!!

In My First Hour: I noticed almost immediately that it didn't hurt my lungs to vape. My doctor diagnosed me with a condition called pleurisy (an inflammation of the lining of the lungs that isn't caused by smoking but it IS aggrevated by smoking.) My lungs hurt with every inhale even without smoking, however...I still couldn't stop smoking. When I learned about E-cigs I thought hmmm why not try it. First hour NO PAIN NO BRAINER....I'm a vaper not a smoker now LOL

Didn`t read the whole thread, but wanted to welcome Jo! I wasn`t a menthol smoker, but I had a friend who was. Every couple of days I`d bum one from him because I like to mix it up occasionally, and enjoyed one once in a while. I could honestly say if menthol cigs were my only choice that I could smoke them regularly, rather than quit.

I have received a few menthol juices on this board, and can honestly say that if menthol juice were my only option, I`d quit vaping. While I have found tobacco flavors similar in nature to real cigs, I can`t say the same for menthol, I can`t stand it!

I hope your experience is different, I know many menthol vapers is. Maybe it`s it`s that I was never a full fledged menthol smoker, and didn`t journey far enough into menthol juices. I wish you the best of luck.
