Nope, didn't use soap, just warm water.

I didn't order top coil CE4's. The T4's I ordered are the same concept as the kit I have now just a different shape and color with replaceable bottom coils. I wanted to keep everything simple.

Ok, I thought you said you got CE4's in another post. Nevermind.

These are the same concept as the Kanger's. After you unscrew the base that short metal tube should come off the coil assembly. Wiggle and pull until it comes off. Depending on how tightly fitted together, it may be easier to do this leaving the coil screwed into the base. That exposes the coil and wick. What color is it? You see how pretty white the wick is in the photo? The extreme opposite of that would be the coil/wick area inside being practically black as it gunks up.

For basic cleaning just put all three pieces- base, coil assembly and metal vent tube - in some gently simmering water for a minute or two. (DO NOT put the plastic outer tube or tip in there!) I use the small pan from a single egg poacher for cleaning. This is enough to get any "loose" liquids out of anything.

Reassemble and blow through the bottom of the base to get as much water out as you can. The prudent will allow overnight to completely dry. The impatient will have the first few draws being weak until any remaining water in the wick is replaced by your liquid.

Soap and water is ok to clean the outer tube and the tip. But you don't want to use soap on the bottom parts and get soap stuck in the wick and coil Gack!

That covers basic cleaning. The kind of thing to do if you want to change flavors and try to get the old flavor out of the coil and wick first. But to clean a coil and wick that gone black and are crusted in goo requires a "dry burn" to remove that build up. Basically it involves firing the coil on the battery, with no liquid, to burn off the crud. Will save that for another post as you can go too far doing that and just kill the coil in the process. Don't want to risk that until you have your replacement coils!

With a new tank, like your a little gurgling might happen for a bit as it gets the juice wicked up for the first time, if it keeps up for half the tank full then, we'll need to look at why it's doing that. Usually just flooding a bit and that usually quits once the wicks are soaked and swelled up enough to stop that. If it doesn't, you might have a slightly too thin juice for that tank. One with more VG and less PG may help.

Hey marine,I smoked for 45 years, since someone handed me a kool from a rat kit after the first high speed foreign object buzzed my noggin in 68'.Was pretty shook up and the smoke calmed me down.I smoked 3-4 packs of kools a day since.I heard of these e-cigs and bought a couple of the usemtossem's at first then bought a battery type and that's when the miracle happened.I smoked 8 cigs the first day,4 on the second day and been free from the smokes since last january and have no cravings for any real ones..Habits can be broken if you make up you're mind and follow through.Hearts and minds.

I found, through vaping that it was the nicotine I was craving, not the cig itself.I too thought I couldn't quit and I was positive I couldn't,I sure couldn't do it cold, that's a fact. The whole having something in your hand, smoking after meals, relaxing etc thing.I was a hard core smoker.Wouldn't go to movies, dinner etc cuzz I couldn't smoke inside or when I wanted.Point is,you can drop them.I wish you luck man.

I started with a Katana kit from Vape Dojo, they are my local shop, good folks.
One thing you might want to try, next time you order replacement heads get the 1.8 ohm ones
I've found they give a warmer vape and more closely mimic the real smoking feel.
If you are getting a buzz you may want to try a lower strength juice.

Cheers, Mark

Good to know.
One of the online stores was out of 2.4ohm clearomizers (rebuildable) but had 1.8 so I have those coming. Anxious to see how they compare. A new tank with a handful of heads.
The retailers are getting $7 to $8 for the CE4's! Rebuildable one was $5 and $2 for heads. Much more economical.

25-1/2 Hours!

I'm still alive and I haven't killed any small furry animals.

I still go outside as a force of habit, but now I remember to bring my vaper with me. The air is much clearer in the porch and the dogs seems to hang out inside more than before.

Remember the old show from the '70s'....One Day at a Time? That's what I'm doing and it's going well so far.

I really want a nice sniffer of scotch but that might be too much for me to handle right now.

Just keep it up knurled! It WON'T kill ya! It may not seem like it now, but you will see many changes, good ones at that! I am a waitress at a place where there is a pretty strict smoking policy. I can excuse myself to the bathroom to get my nic fix. Smokers cannot do that anymore! Oh boy do they get cranky without a smoke! Wow! When we get a "cool" shift manager that allows smoke breaks, the smokers will abandon their tables to go out for a smoke, every 45 minutes on the mark! Annoying! I hate to think I was that way too! I used to make sure I had all my bases covered before I got outside, but I was a raving, near crying lunatic if I couldn't get out. I feel so bad, yet, so proud of myself now, after smoking for about 22 years at a pack or two a day. You CAN do it! We have something that actually works now!

It will take about 3 weeks for the cigarette cravings to go away, and once they do, you will find you can go a really good stretch without vaping, then back to chain vaping, then a stretch without without even thinking about it.
Sent from my .... in your general direction

That is the toughest part about quitting, the booze. The alcohol steps up the "need" to have that cig in your hand.I have been clear of that for 22 tears,I mean years.Change some things in your daily routines, even if they are little things. It conditions your mind to take another direction. It starts when you want it.
