My First Mod (wood, Gripper guts)

Well, I managed it. 8>) I isn't perfect, but it was not a perfect piece of wood to begin with. Just a block of wood I found down in the basement. I Don't even know what kind of wood it is. 18650 battery with a 'Gripper' board in it.

I got a really good button, best I've felt on a PV. Easy to push, no audible click but a definite engagement. Notice the cross members in it are not pieces glued in, they are part of the block.

To show the size it sits with a Gripper and an 18490 ProVari.

If you don't mind me asking, How did you hollow out the inside of the wood?

very nice work cap! It's amazing how a random block of softwood turned out that nice on the finish! I think it's just pine to tell you the truth. I have never seen pine look that cool before.

Thank you all for the comliments. It was fun to make. Maybe I will make another if I find a piece of wood. I was thinking of maybe going down to the river to see if I could find the right piece of drift wood??

The shades of the wood grain are beautiful Capt ! Very nice, I too think it looks like pine
