My First Reo

Hello everyone

I was fortunate enough to grab a Reo Mini 2.1 from the classified and it finally arrived!

The good news?

It's a really solid device, used but was in excellent shape. The seller even included all the original stuff (instructions, extra bottle, noalox, and Roberts business card).

The bad news?

I took it apart to thoroughly clean the device. I gave the bottle & tube a good scrubbing, unscrewed the positive black shielding to wash everything. I couldn't reach into the silicone that surrounded the positive contact. So I attempted to remove the 510 to gain access to the positive contact.

I watched the repair video from the reo page but did not have the volume on. I didn't notice that after you remove the bottle tube, you have to unscrew something prior to using pliers to remove the little metal pin.

Long story short, I broke the metal pin that connects from the 510 to the tube.

Repair kit ordered..

The reo i got had the silver springs, so this will be a fix AND an upgrade

Oi vey - rarely do we get a "Yay!" and a "Doah!" in a first reo post. Nevertheless, you've got a solution sorted and will soon be vaping in the bliss that is Reoville.

Make it a double "doh" because I broke the metal part and also ordered a repair kit for the Grand and not the mini 2.1, poop

I thought so at the beginning but it wasn't until I noticed that there was a page 2 of accessories on the website.

It says "Reo mini - mini 2.1- 2.0 repair kit" on the 2nd page.

Not sure, but it might be that the juice tube is just shorter for the mini repair kit. Rob should be able to correct the order, all the same. He should ship it on Friday.

Yep, I can only find distinct bottles and feeder tubes for each of the mini and grand - springs, pins, screws, and connectors are the same. Probably moot, but you'll be okay either way.
