I like the idea of variable voltage, but I think by adding this feature it is something more to worry about, it can break or malfunction as you have to screw it in and out every time. It is not easy serviceable. Again great idea but the "road-test"will prove if it is durable and really practical. No offence to the maker!!! Thank you for the video. We are all on the same road!!

My sentiments exactly. See ya in 6 months to a year. A potentiometer, is a potentiometer. My first 5V box mod died a couple of weeks ago (lasted 2 months). Nothing with what I did, the on of switch. It has been replaced by one capable of withstanding 3 amps. I'll be back in 6 months.

Well, I'm going for it (actually, my dear sweet wife has ordered it for me, early birthday present). We'll see how long the pot lasts. I'll probably keep it dialed to 4.2-4.5V most of the time.

Once it comes in, I'll be rebuilding my old V1 too... new thickwalled 6061 aluminum barrel and a longer, alloy 360 brass end cap with 3/4-16 threads and a through hole for a gas vent. Won't be able to take an 18650 with the new I.D. size but, oh well. I'll finally be rid of those ragged little fine pitch threads!

I've been using one for a couple of months now an I don't adjust it each time. Once I find the spot that is sweet for the carto/atty I'm using thats where it stays. I've went 3 or 4 days without messing with it. As to the things going wrong, I just wished all my PVs would have been this dependable. It has never, not once failed me and the button works each and every time. Just wished it would have been available when I started, I wouldn't have wasted so much money on other malfunctioning equipment.

I just ordered a black-n-gold Buzz yesterday... obviously, it ain't getting here before the Super Bowl, but at least I'll have it by the time the NHL playoffs start...

After 14 months of using another "variable-voltage" mod, the Xhaler, I can see one advantage to the Buzz from Jump Street... you have to unscrew the end-cap on the Xhaler to get higher voltage, and that loosened cap can easily get lost. I have to think a screw is going to be less of a problem in this regard.

Also, the Xhaler button stuck on me once and melted a carto and fouled my 501-cartomizer adapter. From what I've read so far, the Buzz button is sounding good... the Xhaler button a bit stiff and it's designed so you have to constantly clean the contact point between the switch end and the body.

I'll provide a full review later, but I already have high hopes for this one... the switch on my Xhaler failed completely last week, so I didn't have the time to shop the mods that I prefer... either way, vaping on the the emergency batt order of 3.7's in the interim is killing me... feel like I'm sucking on a Mickey D's milkshake...

You will definitely love the buzz when you get it! Great VV PV and batts last all day in it.

It just so happens that it takes the same batts as the Xhaler,

Karl,
The batteries I use on my Xhaler are 3.0 v. The batteries I use on my Buzz are 3.7 v. The Buzz won't work with 3.0 v batteries. The batteries are the same size (16340, RCR123A), but have different voltages. Well, maybe you're already using the 3.7 ones :) But just in case :vapor:
Hope you enjoy your new Buzz.

The buzz is a modern marvel and is voltage regulated so it remains at the same voltage you set it at until the very few last couple of hits. I don't know if provari or the darwin even has this feature. But the Buzz and the Infinity do which makes it superior to the provari and darwin.

I am not knocking the Buzz or Infinity at all, as I own a Buzz, and have an Infinity on order. But it's not very responsible to state that they are superior to other mods becuase they have features that you don't know if the others have. And for the record, yes, they do.

I will never understand why some people feel the need to bash devices they have never tried, and obviously don't know much about. Yes, Mike makes great mods. I can verify that. It's why I buy from him. But the Darwin is also a great mod, and from what I've seen of the Provari, it is too.
