Although I've read on this forum that he eGo is not a "true" 3.7v device, I'm very happy with mine. Purchased it in early January and still going strong. I alternate btwn the eGo and the Mega KR808 battery w/510 atty. Both suit me just fine, however, the 808 Mega has more TH. But the battery life on the eGo is superior. Just wish they weren't proprietary batts.

All Joye 510s run on around 3.1v, not 3,7v. That is however as they are intended to run, and not a sign of anything wrong. (Unless you need higher numbers to compensate for something else.)
You can of course also run, as you do on the KR8 battery, run it on 3.7v. (Or even more.) That works fine, but quite a few people think it's too harsh. It's a matter of taste, though. Me, I don't like it very much.

The eGo is manufactured by JoyE (OEM) and distributed by vendors with their unique individual logos. Hence, why mine is the Happy eGo, but an/"the" eGo nonetheless. Janty is the developer, all eGos are created the same. So should some vendor calim he has the "original eGo" that is purely a marketing strategy. shop around for the best buy.

Well, Janty being the developer, they at least have a right to claim they have the "original eGo". (Don't know if you are even referring to them.) And while all eGos are created the same, Janty has always been credited with an excellent quality control, and most of the time, with good or excellent service. Unlike, say, another company, that also very early had, erm, well, the same model.
Between the other OEMs, there is probably not much of a difference, if any.

Of course, in a few months time, there will probably be clones on the market, just as there were for any popular model so far. :(

So has anybody noticed any kind of difference between ordering the Tornado from TW or the eGo from Janty? Because I've been reading what everybody has said about how great the customer service is at Janty, & knowing that they ship quickly so since they are in Florida & I'm in Alabama my eGo will arive quickly, I would like to order an eGo from Janty. However, they are out of stock right now & I didn't know until I read this thread that JOYETECH actually makes this thing so anyone who sells one will probably be selling the same thing. I just went to TW's site and not only does it look identical & cost the same but they've also got almost 400 in stock!

Would just like to know how TW's customer service is and if anybody has noted any differences between ordering a Tornado from TW or an eGo from Janty.

Diggerences between the 2..
The Tornado comes with 2 batteries, 1 atty cone, 2 atties, 10 carts, a 510 mains charger, and a tornado charging adapter, and a 28 day warranty...

The eGo comes with 2 batteries, 1 atty cone, 1 510 dura atty, 5 carts, and a fast USB charger w/ a USB to wall adapter, and a 6 month warranty..

Personal opinion...after reading many many horror stories concerning TW's customer service, and quality of shipped products I will never ever buy anything from TW (I'd rather pay more money to fly to china and attempt to get something than give TW a dollar.)

Oh, man, definitely appreciate you letting me know that! After reading that, I just checked dietsmokes once more before calling it a night and, guess what, they somehow restocked between right now & the thirty minutes prior which was when I last checked! Ordered two kits, one for me and one for my wife, and should have them by the end of the week!

Wish they'd have come with an extra atty but beggars can't be choosers! It's sounding more and more like I better hop on board with the LR Atty's anyway, so I'll probably order 4 or 5 of those and be done with it.

Now I've just gotta decide if I should send the 510 kit I just ordered from Kingpin's back when it arrives tomorrow. It's going to be hard holding off till Thursday or Friday and I do want to know what the 510, alone, is all about. Just not sure I can explain spending the extra hundred bucks that went with that order when I've got another $160 order on the way with the PV I'll more than likely always be using, when you consider the battery life and all!

That difference between the TW 510 charger and the Janty eGo charger is considerably, I might add. It takes at least twice as long to charge the batteries, and that's particularly neat because TW does have the fast USB chargers, too. They just cost you extra money.

I personally would not send back the 510 kit. (That is, if it's genuine Joye 510, not clones.) It's spare parts for times of need, and I find it rather nice to have 510s at home, where I use them for different flavours. Because chances are, you will end up vaping more than one or two flavours.

Sorry. You can charge the eGo in standard 510 chargers, which is however slow business. (And often needs an adapter.) There is also a charger specifically for the eGo, delivering far more mAh. It looks a lot like the standard-510-USB charger, but should never be used to charge ordinary 510 batteries (short or mega).

The TW kit comes with a standard 510 wall charger (many people will already have that one) and an adaper for the battery, which takes 4-6 hours, IIRC, to recharge an eGo battery. The eGo-Kits come with the faster eGo-charger, which takes about 2 hours to recharge the very same battery. This is an USB charger and comes with a wall-to-USB adapter, too.
TW also has this faster charger, but it's not in the kit, you need to buy it seperately.

just to expand on that a bit..the tornado kit comes with a standard 510 mains charger + adapter... that charges at an output of 150mA..
The eGo kit comes with a fast charger that requires no adapter between it and the battery that charges at 420mA...
The fast charger is available from TW for extra...
so because the output on the fast charger exceeds the total mA of the standard 510 or even the mega batteries it should not be used on those because it will ruin those..however it will charge the 650mA eGo batteries way faster than the standard 510 charger..

Wow, thanks guys, I'm super stoked about my eGo getting here. I got my 510 in today and , after getting some much needed tips about blowing into the atty to get the primer liquid out and even dripping directly onto the atty (along with freaking out that I blew 1 of my atty's out, then realizing I had drained the battery in 2 hours! lol) I've gotta say it far succeeds any other vaping experience I've had. Now I've gotta find some right e-liquid/nic mg. combinations, especially one for the constant vaping I'll be doing when I get home every night.
