My Janty eGo first impressions

I assume you're talking about the Janty "fast charger". That consists of a USB-powered charger.. and it comes with a wall adapter so you don't have to plug it into a USB port on your computer.

I don't have that specific wall adapter... but I'm guessing yours has a red power light on it. That doesn't indicate the charging status. The small LED on the barrel of the USB charger tells you the charging status. Red for charging, green for either "done", or no battery attached.

That's correct. The red light on the adapter threw me off at first too because the charger was turned over and I didn't notice its light.

The light on the ac unit is always red that means its on. The light on the charger is red when you screw the battery in and then it will occasionly blink. when its charged the light will turn green. It takes mine just over 2 hours to charge. Hope that helps

I found the problem by taking the USB adapter apart.
The two wires going to the screw in connection had broken and I had to solder them back on.
It looked like it was only soldered on by a hair to begine with!!
I could not get the plastic case back on, and it's ugly now, but it works!!

I will need to buy a new one, but the folks at Janty are out of stock.

I feel quite certain that if you contact Janty, your charger will be replaced without the necessity of buying a new one.

I noticed janty is selling the single batteries, could I just order a battery and use it with all my 510 gear?

Well...my TW Tornado just arrived and is on the charger. Mine came with a little cloth pouch like the Janty but has the Totally Wicked dude on it...nice touch. I got the rapid charger so should be too long, can't wait to try it.

Yes you can purchase just the battery......but you will need the charger adapter which is an extension tube to be able to charge the battery with your 510 charger

Lovin my Tornado... It paired with Halo juice is pure bliss.... Have not even used my VP-PT all day as I am enjoying the Tornado to much....

As said above you will need the adapter to charge and don't forget the cone to cover the atty... Not only makes it look good but I believe it halp with the air flow and the warmth of the juice...

Does it put out the same voltage as a regular 510 or is it more?

From what others have said here is that it puts out the same voltage as a 510 but lasts much much longer and is more consistent through the battery charge. We all know how a 510 starts to degrade as the battery gets below 40-50%, not supposed to happen with the Tornado / eGo.

Holy Crap...first few puffs after clearing the atomizer and all I can say is WOW!

Great flavor, vapor for days just using the carts that came with it, has a unique feel and draw to it that I really like on first impression - don't know how to describe it - more sturdy and focused than a 510....

I'll puff a cart or two and post some more about it...

Hey Mods...probably time for a Tornado / eGo model specific discussion under Reviews, seems like there are enough review threads going here and this thing is going to be a big one from the buzz on here so far.

I'm still using the blue foam and it is way better on the eGo/Tornado than on the regular 510 in my opinion.

1st thing I did was strip the carts that came with it and insert blue foam with my Halo Freedom juice...

I do have a few stock carts left that came with it so I might have to try them out...

So far I can say that with the blue foam there is no need for the straw (q-tip) mod as I am vaping the foam bone dry...

Time to order some mega atty's and mega carts now....

Bella & Raqball...can you post a link for me as to which version of the blue foam mod you use? I normally use PTB with the 510's, but bought some blue foam last night but there are so many variations I haven't tried it yet.

I figured I'll vape the juice from the pre-filled carts and mod them as I go with different mods to see what works best. Mine came with the standard TW Tobacco flavor which is not bad at all.

I did order a 5 pack of the mega-atty's and some carts, along with some TW e-juice which should be here later in the week.
