just ordered a tornado..one question, i heard the flavors are better with this model? is that true? Coming from a 510

I wouldn't expect big changes in the flavor. It uses the same atties as the 510, it has the same battery voltage as the 510. The cone changes the draw a little bit and warms up the vapor/atty. That may enhance some flavors while detracting from others.

Before I ask my question let me just say where I am in my new vapor habit. I have a Kr8 I like it. I've stocked up on batteries, have a lot of cartomizers. I'm putting in a large order of my favorite go to juice, TV menthol

My problem. When I smoke analogs I went outside took a break from what I was doing and smoked. It was like a mini vacation. Even when I do that with my Kr8 I still think I need something to do. I thought dipping or dripping might fill that need. Does that make sense to anyone? Do they feel dripping gives them something extra to do? Make you take that break like analogs can. When I first heard of the Ego I though a lot of the improvements had to do with battery and atomizer life. I'm looking for an extra cost efficient tool in my tool box. Not to totally replace what I have.

Callofthevapor-

I had lots to do with my kr8 and my 510 because I was always charging batteries swapping attys and the like. None of those things were the vacation you were talking about which I understand and know very well. I vape indoors because I have my own office and so I can shut the door and do my thing. My employees know I vape and some have disdain for it while others could care less. We only have 1 analog smoker in our company and she only smokes 1-2 a day at work. She does not want to convert yet unfortunately. With the eGo I guess you could go out and vape, only because of this... while my 510 was always in my mouth, I can vape on the eGo and then set it down. I get my necessary fix from it and then I can do without it for awhile, on my 510 I never felt like the fix was totally there, until I overvaped. With the kr8 although I got a little fix, it was way too expensive for my tastes, I was using a cart or two a day and dripping was not working well with the auto batteries I was using. So this might fill your need only because it is potent, portable and easy. On the other hand that "mini" vacation was a mindset for me, and I just pull away from whatever I am doing and vape and get my mind right... especially with the stress that has been so abundant for me lately. :)

I hope that helps,

Thanks it did. I'm still confused on what I want right now. I don't want to spend alot of money right now. I decided to order a couple 901 atomizers and carts that I can use with the batteries I have now. I'll probable order an adapter so I can try 510 and maybe 301? atomizers.

In the meantime I'll just be lurking here learning everyone's opinions on the tornado and ego
I like my Kr8 but I think I'll need another one.

Have any of you had the problem of the button accidently being pushed on the eGo while in your pocket? I watched a review where a gentleman said that this was the only thing about the eGo that he didn't like.

He ended up taking it apart befor putting it back into his pocket to remedy the situation. Shame they don't sell a case for it that would prevent this from happening.

I think the eGo comes with a soft carrying pouch.

I have incidentally hit the button while it was in a lower vest pocket, felt warm and I moved. This also happened with my 510 early on and it melted the cart. The difference is the eGo did not melt the cart and since I have learned how to carry my device differently.

As I said before this is an ongoing review because many people review a product especially ecigs and it works great the first 1 or 2 weeks but then it no longer performs the same way. I felt this way especially about my 510. First week with a new atty and battery and I loved it. 2 weeks into it charging them every 45 minutes started driving me nuts.

After over 2 weeks the eGo is still going strong with the battery life 8-12 hours each. I have noticed a drop in performance of the atty but that is mostly to build up, if I clean it like I should then I am good to go, if I dont then I notice that it is not as peepy, and I get more burnt taste and get it quicker. I go through liquid quicker during this time as well. So cleaning the atty is important. I have used the Janty atty for 2 weeks now and it is the best atty I have used yet. Other things to consider are I now carry my device in a shirt pocket not in my pants pocket because of inadvertently hitting the button in a vest. Or I use the pouch it came with if I need to carry in a more prone to hitting pocket. I have used various pure liquids and they all taste great. The finish has not scratched on mine yet either which is a plus, my 510's after 2 weeks looked like I took a Brillo pad to them. After dripping especially over dripping it makes a hissing sound when you vape it but it goes away after a few hits. And finally the carts are better from Janty then the normal joye ones the plastic is harder so my teeth marks do not sit in as much. All in all my opinion it is the best device I have used and the one I am still recommending to friends.

I will post more in a couple weeks.

Thank you all,

I just ordered 2 batteries and a usb charger from TotallyWicked. They sent an update that is was shipped the next day. Hoping to get it before the weekend. Will update again if anyone is interested.
Sorry to say this, but you won't unfortunately. They ship from Florida. Shipping to Canada even with Priority Post typically takes 7 business days from my experience sending things to Canada.

Don't worry, you'll be enjoying it soon enough.. hang in there! It's worth the wait... :)

Yepee! I just got my ego. I ordered on Feb. 9th and received today. Wow is this thing awesome or what? Started vaping out of the box and I am already loving it. I just started using the 510 about 2 weeks ago (was using the 901). I really do like the 510 atty's draw. The weight is really nice. The TH and flavor is superb. I even like the button. This will be my everyday PV. Way to go Janty.

Yup, the eGo is 99.99% pure awesomium! Enjoy! :)

I too really think there is subjectively a much nicer vape than just the longer battery life. It managed to get some attys I had from my 510 working great again but it produces a smoother fuller vape plus throat hit depending on your juice... And I LOVE personally the feel of the battery in my hand. I got the last 2 batteries in stock from Janty (at the time), it was my first order from there too... they had no chargers so I had to mod a universal adaptor from my 808d s which is working ok, but will get a proper one soon.

The black matte finish feels nice, the unit is solid and sturdy feeling without being too big... and yeah, with your same kit of juice and attys it simply delivers better. I like that it doesn't lite up at the end too. To be honest moving away from looking like analogs in my opinion is a good thing for numerous reasons such as the confusion it causes and spreads about what these things are, that they are like cigs so must be bad, etc... In any event, the button placement and light is nice. My fav. piece I own I think, and I have titans, minis, supers, 808s, an original screwdriver and also an xhaler I got on the same day... which is pretty cool too, but this little sweet guy is my new best friend.

BTW - I find you get better vapour production from VG mixes personally and prefer to use it these days, but that's too bad about the reaction to PG... as many of even the flavorings will be based with it even if you are mixing it up with VG there will usually always be some PG in there somehow.
