You all have been so helpful at ecf. All the threads here are great I can say without a doubt I'd be smoking cigarettes today if I had not found these threads.

I want to share with you all my little invention. I wanted to ALWAYS make sure I had an extra battery and an extra carto just for when running out quickly. If headed to work or whatnot I carry a whole slew of things... but I'm paranoid I'll run out for milk, get a flat tire and be stuck there for an hour and my battery will die or my carto will fail. I also don't want to have to even remember to have to grab a battery and go get a carto when I'm just running to pick up the kids or whatever.... So this is what I came up with...

It's a keychain holder. I put it on my car keychain, its not big and in your way but I'll ALWAYS have an emergency battery and carto without even thinking about it!

I knew I wanted some kind of key chain holder, but all the pill box types i looked at were big enough for a carto but not a battery. I found change purse ones but thats bigger than what I want on my keys. So, I hunted through my craft box, planning to make one out of filmo clay, (which I'm still going to do) and I found the tubes beads are sold in at the craft store. Its only like $2 for a tube of beads! I just took of the label by soaking it in vegetable oil. The tops are threaded and with screw on caps, they're not pop off so your items are secure! Its a shorty battery in there and it just fits but they have longer tubes so you could do a standard battery or two cartos. And the top has a little open area to put the keychain on. Its like they were made for it.

Just thought I'd share and hopefully give someone else an idea of some different options!

OMG! That sounds just like me! What if I am hit by a car and end up in the hospital and don't have my stuff? What if the FDA makes getting my "stuff" difficult! lol That is why I always carry a charged PCC with batt and 2 cartos in my purse. I charge it back up every other weekend to make sure it stays charged. And I have enough stuff to last a year in the event I can no longer get it! So glad to know I am not the only paranoid one out there! :)

Wouldn't hold an xl batt would it? lol

This one just holds a shorty perfectly, but I'm ALMOST positive that some beads at the craft store were in the same tubes but longer. I got the beads at Michaels in the jewelry making section.

Thank you all for your kind comments :) I hope someone really can use it.

You're definitely not alone! lol I think more feel that way than don't.

I have a very physical job so I don't take a purse to work :( I thought about leaving a pcc kit in the car but with new england weather that woudln't work. So for work I carry 3 short batteries assembled with cartomizers in my back pocket. When one dies or carto runs dry I just switch. I cant think of anything to solve this problem though. :(

I have a keychain thingy too.Mine is my Leaford lanyard. When the string broke I added the holder to my keychain and now I always have an xl batt with a fesh carto just in case.

great idea! I dont like the lanyard on but on a keyring is perfect. Thats a great spot to stick the assembled one I'm using in when I dont have any pockets! Thanks :)
