Neither here nor there
Wow! That is fantastic! I should move there and work as a tech instead! I could work under a doctor or nurse and make the same $$$. They must have a real shortage out there to pay them so high. Very cool:rolleyes:

Medical technologists work in a laboratory.

Maybe the people you referred to in your first post go by a different title.

MT(ASCP), CLS or NCA certified are individuals with at least a BS, board of registry and in many places, state licenses.

There is a HUGE shortage nationwide, so that's why they are paid well.

And if you know anyone looking for a career, the MTs I know are find theirs very rewarding.
Like nursing, there is a big commitment to your education, but well worth it.

Wrong :( not just labs

Nope...not looking....

Was only taking the opportunity to edgucate somebody. Not everyone who has a white coat...has the education of a nurse...or the liability.:|

You're right, cheemiss.
And I apologize, trashling, for the hijacking of your thread.

A medical technologist, by definition, is a LABORATORIAN.
If you have medical technologists working in a doctor's office, it's in their lab.
And no, most doctors do not have a MT on staff.
I have a feeling tamiflu is referring to some sort of a CNA or phlebotomist.
To call those people med techs would be like calling her a CNA or calling a CPA a bookkeeper.
But let's not forget, nurses know everyone else's job better than they do.

GREAT ideas trashling! :w00t: I came up with something very similar using foam and holes cut out. The styro material would be much better. Also - what I did was push several paper clips through this thick gray foam, so that when the 4081 cart was stuck in the hole, the internal cup would protrude slightly. I may drill out a quick length of wood as described earlier and do the same thing.
Thanks for the insight! A mass produced version taking into account these b.p.'s be a good accessory item.
