I decided that I like the raw look so much that I stripped the paint from my purple mini! I was nervous about this because I wasn't sure what I'd find under the paint. I took her all apart, stripped the spring screw in the process, taped up the 510 and used a piece of shrink tubing to seal off the center pin inside. The Grand that I stripped a couple of weeks ago was a perfect TRA underneath but this mini was not. It was unfinished aluminum that needed sanding. So I got to work. Here's what I've got so far.

I'm thinking of doing the door in the opposite pattern with the door polished and the stripes brushed. I'm also thinking of putting a polished stencil of something centered on the back, I just don't know what. I can't think of an image that's vape related and I want it to be. Maybe a Reo stencil? A reo on a reo lol! I need ideas!

Thank you fellow Reonauts! I love how this one is turning out, I is excited! I think perhaps once I'm done I'll have to find out if I can buy a clear j wrap or something to protect it.

I suck at drawing so if there is an artistic Reonaut here that can draw me a porky stencil I'd love to hear from you. :)

I too LOVE the stripes! It opens up a whole new world on what you can do with a Reo. Looking forward to seeing your finished product. :toast:

I wonder if someone could easily do the reverse -- buy a TRA Reo and sand it down where you wanted the polished stripes?

Hehe, I've got plans for one of my TRA's. ;)

Me too, love me some copper! Hubby made me a copper door at work and after some begging and pleading agreed to make me some more. He came home from work yesterday with four more copper doors, four stainless steel doors and two stainless doors that he machined with designs as a surprise for me.

A tumbled copper Reo would be beautiful and I'd buy one in a heartbeat. If it was solid copper it could double as a defense weapon for us ladies too. Seriously, a copper Reo with an Odin on top could do some serious damage! Hiiiiiya!
