I've gone from sad to seriously unhappy! I did call and they said no, they couldn't do that. So I decided to just suck it up and order another battery and some carts while I wait for the whole kit to come in. I got a confirmation email for my order on Tuesday, but I never got a shipping notification. I finally sent an email this afternoon, and it turns out they are HOLDING MY ORDER FOR 1-2 WEEKS because they are out of the blank carts. Come on. Seriously? They could have let me know this. Now I have to upgrade the blasted shipping to second day because I need the battery. I'm seriously unhappy.

That would be frustrating. If you didn't talk to Mike directly, ask for him and I bet he'll take care of the situation. And be sure he understands that it was his partner Antoinette (nycsublimegirl) who suggested it.

When I see a person who has a ProVari and owns gallons of juice, that person has gone beyond the desire to quit, and into hobby territory. Once it becomes a hobby, it's very easy for people to recommend to smokers "Don't waste your time with that tiny thing. You need 3ml of juice at 6V or you'll never be happy".

I am going to have to respectfully disagree with you about this point.

I believe that there is good reason to want to step up into better equipment beyond just wanting another hobby. I don't want or need another hobby, but what I do want is to secure my ability to vape, save money, and know for sure what is going into the juice I vape.

DIY juice is literally a fraction of the cost of having to purchase juices from any vendor. In addition to the cost factor, I am able to tell (with a reasonable level of accuracy) exactly what is going into my juice. That is not to say that there are not many quality trusted juice vendors, but given the choice I prefer to learn to make my own. Having a gallon + of juice only means that I front loaded my expense and saved myself a great deal of money in the long run.

As far as the equipment goes I have two points about this:

1) Let's assume the worst happens and the FDA gets their way eventually. Lets further assume that PVs become more expensive than they already are and the FDA decides to make it a pain in a** for vendors and manufacturers to sell on the US market. Because of this fact I want a purely mechanical "mod" (or 3) that will make it so that I am not reliant on a manufacturer that can't deliver product.

2) What works to keep any individual off of analogs is a personal thing. I know for a fact that Pavlovian conditioning is a VERY powerful force(low success rates on patches, gum, etc come to mind here). I believe that by switching the look and feel of the devices I use, I potentially avoid re-conditioning myself to the pleasure response (only this time to a PV and not an analog). This is just my opinion and my attempt at further harm reduction from using a PV.

I agree with the point you make that many people take it to an extreme level of a new hobby. Definitely a sub culture. I could even go so far as to say it becomes a lifestyle to some. But I don't agree that the only valid reason to have those things is that a person thinks of it as a hobby. Perhaps it's my paranoid nature, but should the worst happen I want to be prepared enough so that I can lower my nicotine at a slow and controlled rate and be done with them if the prices become prohibitive.

Just my thoughts on the topic.

Cheers,
VMS

I can't agree with youmore!. I fear the same things & my paranoid nature has proven me right many times. I trust no one especially the gov't. I have enough juice & apparatus to last about 4 mos or so And will reorder in about 1/2 that time. I just do not want to go back to analogs.
I am Already Taxed to death!
Can't be dependent on china gov't, weather, shipping, embargos, laws etc.

So maggie, did you get your kit? How do you like it? I have a basic kr808 and I am wondering if it is any better.
Mr White- congrats on quitting from another St Louisan

Yes, i did get my kit once I was able to have them remove the blank carts from the order and ship the rest. They did promptly refund the blank carts and threw in a pack of cherry carts which was quite nice of them. I absolutely love everything about it. I was using the three piece style and this is sooo much better. Draws are very smooth and consistent all the way up until the battery dies.

I have been waiting impatiently to order the ultimate kit. Last I heard on March 4 was that everything will be restocked within two weeks - so that is definitely next week - right?

At this point I am thinking there maybe a problem with the cartos and everything is on hold until they work out the kinks. But, who really knows with the silent treatment we are getting.

Maybe. Or maybe there just isn't anything left to say. They have said they were addressing customer service issues and that they were waiting on their order to be filled, packaged and shipped from China. Would it really make people happier if they said the same thing everyday?

You don't just (as a company) bail on the people you used to keep informed every day. I'd rather hear "working on it" every day than be left in the dark.

I could see if they were a company that never had a presence here at all, but Toni and Leaford were fixtures here. Now, nothing...

ever think its because the correct answers arent something they want to be known unless its absolutely necessary?
That fx leaf has no clue what to say about the cartos? since he isnt an inventor, but an advertisor? I think it just blew up in their faces, all the carto complaints... regardless of what chris reashured Redemtion with...

Glad to hear you are happy with it Maggie! I was thinking that my next pv would be one with a big battery, but reading how thrilled everyone is with the Maxx, I am starting to have second thoughts!
In regards to no contact from China, hopefully the earthquakes off the coast of Japan are not impacting the shipments heading this way!

I definitely understand many people feeling this way - and I don't disagree. It's probably just getting embarrassing for them because no progress has been noted.

The problem tho is that it takes all of not even 1 min to make a quick post letting your customers know whats up. Whats disappointing is that its pretty clear both NYC and Leaford have logged into the forums several times in the past several days. Your telling me not one of them could make a post? This whole thing just feels odd. That week that the carto threads went up Leaford just up and vanished.

We got one not very explanatory post that had some incorrect information about the things going on inside the carto. I dono I'm just puzzled.

At this time, this is starting to differentiate Bloog from most other vendors in the ECF vendors forums.
Most vendors have a strong active presence in these.

Regardless, I'm still thinking this is circumstantial, and normal affairs will be resumed shortly.
At least I hope so.
