So I just started with my PV full time and decided to not smoke analog's any more. It went fairly well until I went back to work yesterday and discovered the need for additional batteries. My Xhale o2 managed to get me through half the work day until the battery died. By the end of work I could feel the nic-fit starting so I rushed home to charge my battery.

Alas, I didn't make it and bought another pack of analogs to take the edge of while recharging. I learned a very important lesson, buy more batteries!

So, I start over and today is day 1!

Xanas, this isn't AA. You don't have to turn in your chip. You made it half a day without an analog, which is way way better than no days at all! Some vapers *never* give up analogs completely... but then I seem to remember a doctor telling me once that if you smoke 5 or fewer cigs per day, you're technically a non-smoker (from a medical issues standpoint).

Don't sweat it. Just keep doing what you're doing... and congrats!

Join the club -- it's a learning experience. I fortunately started with a KR808D-1 kit with two batteries, then got a personal charging case -- they work well, recharge one while using the other during the day.

Of course, then it was a pass through for work, and, well, I'm lazy, so another pass through for the car :)

Next up a G400 with second battery from NHaler. That's a 900 mAh KR808D-1, which uses monster 2 ml cartomizers (also uses standard cartos).

I only ordered the big battery yesterday -- after several months I'm pretty firmly smoke-free, so don't mind buying the widgets. I may not have actually saved any $ so far, but I also suspect I haven't spent more than I would have on analogs, and I have supplies for multiple months.

No biggie. Just part of the learning process. We all learn how to be properly equipped after awhile. That goes for juice, attys/cartos and batteries.

When my Dad was in for triple bypass surgery I remember reading something like this too in the literature related to heart disease. I don't think it said you were a non-smoker, but something like the risk for heart disease decreases with less than 5 per day. He was a smoker too and that was one of the reasons that kickstarted my first real attempts at quitting smoking. Thank God for ecigs.

You never know what might happen or when. I was analog free for 24 hours and then got word a dear, sweet cousin passed away and I really needed the satisfaction that analogs can give, so I broke down and bought a pack. I didn't beat myself up over it, sometimes things happen that you can't always control.

I'm glad you've picked yourself up and dusted yourself off! Keep it up and remember, we're human beings, we aren't perfect, we make mistakes.... However, we can and do learn from those mistakes and do our best not to let it happen again.

Hi Xanas - glad you posted.

I got my first pv (a 510 Mega) one month ago. After vaping for the first 3 days, I didn't smoke an analog for 5 days straight. Then I went out with the girls and they were smoking it up and I started jonesin' so I smoked a few. That night I bought a pack on the way home. After that I would smoke 2 or 3 a day along with vaping. Well, I ran out of analogs Friday night (had a total of 4 ciggs that day) and haven't bought anymore and haven't bummed any either. So, I got 3 days analog free under my belt again. I feel more confident this time cause even though I've been around some of my friends who were smoking the last couple of days, I just sat there vaping and I didn't even crave an actual cigg. Used to, just smelling the smoke would make me jones and I would cave in. But so far, so good. I had coffee with my best friend this morning and I vaped while she smoked. It didn't hit me until I was driving home - wow, I thought to myself. I didn't even think about bumming a cigg from her! That is HUGE for me. (patting my self on the back, LOL)

So hang in there and keep on vaping!
