Could be a burnt coil. You must keep the wicks really wet yah? Slosh the juice around. If you get burnt taste, wash out everything, dry vape to dry out the coil and then top up again. Wait 5 minutes before you start vaping.

after dry burning do u get a very disgusting burnt taste that last for a few hours?

TILT MAN TILT!!! That aside, there is still a limit to how many times you can fire in a row at one go, another thing you can do is flip it upside down for half a second, really quickly, before vaping, if you're still experiencing dry hits that is.

actually, e dry hits r lesser now.. burnt taste was prob for about 2-3 draws, after tt, it went back to normal..

The best thing to prevent dry hits is to take a couple of drags without activating the battery; that removes any air bubbles and allows smooth flow of juice to the coil. :)

And yes, if you're dealing with top coils, TILT!:D

if i dry draw, i end up sucking in juice, prob cux i'm tilting&dry vaping it.? CE4 clearo, i believe is top coil.?

I believe so; those are like Vision, Stardust, etc, right?

I have no experience with those. I use top and bottom changeable coil clearomizers, but they should be working just the same. Just take slower, longer draws--that's all I can think of. You don't want to inhale dry, hot coil vapors.

ok, this sucks.. e burn taste is coming back&its more apparent now.. damn it!

Well.... what do you learn from this? When its good, its so tasty, so marvelous. When its bad, you have a growing monster.

Change the coil out! Its a disposable after all. There is a PNR for the coils in regards to washing and reusing.

Point of No Return, my friend.

I've used a CE4 with eGo Mini when I had to make a trip down to JB. Was tilting e damn thing every 4 tokes or so. Btw, I believe there might be bad batches every now and then. And e first fill and vape is e most important. If e coil got burnt, it's a total washout.

Welcome to the learning process.:)

PNR= Point of No Return.

sighhh.. i'll have to keep vaping this burnt coil till my new stuff comes.. which is earliest mid next week!! arghhhhhh!!

CE4 atomizer can be rebuilt. Kanger bottom coil also can be rebuilt. Get some 2.5mm silica wick, and kanthal 32. As when you feel taste is off, just rip it off and rebuild it. I tried rebuilding with stainless steel mesh, don't quite like it. Taste bland. Still prefer silica wick..

i tried rebuilding my vv with ss mesh too.. first two puff was great but after that taste was crap..

i'm not really tt hands on in certain stuff.. but i may try it out eventually..

Personally I've had some experience with burnt taste too. I was using the normal ego-c batteries with my vision clearomizers with no problems until I switched the batteries to the bigger 900mph ones. At first for 2 weeks everything was fine but then the burnt taste kept coming back even after washing and changing the coilheads. But now that I've gone back to the smaller original batteries, *touch wood* I still haven't got the burnt taste anymore. So the power of your batteries may play a part.

And at least you're still able to get stock in, you should order more while you can. I'm running precariously low on my supplies :<

@icegunner,the mah of the batteries had got nothing to do with the power of the battery.

It just means that you have a longer battery life. Mah stands for miiliamp hour, which is a unit for the length of battery life.

What will affect the power is the voltage output of the battery. Ego batteries are rated at 3.7 volts but typically fire at 3.2 volts. The long 900mah batteries are also rated at 3.7volts but some of the newer ones fire at 4.2 volts. That might explain why you are getting a burnt taste with some of the cartos that were working well with the shorter battery.

To understand more of this. You may have to apply ohms law and watts' law

batteries with bigger mah tend to have bigger C values compared to smaller batteries of the same brand. C value is the max discharge rate of a battery. so big batts have big C, small batts have small C. Big C gives higher amperage when discharging and small C give lower amperage when discharging. That should explain the burnt taste syndrome.

Many manufacturer don't disclose the C values of the batteries because this would most of the time render their products useless. That said you can't go wrong with AW IMRs. Mr AW discloses all the specs of his batteries.
