What should I get?

  • Original Screwdriver. Can't beat the original!

  • Screwdriver MK II. That button-cap is a must!

  • eGo/Tornado. You've already got 510 stuff!

  • Something COMPLETELY different!

Update:

After vaping the Tornado for a few days now, I absolutely love it! Awesome Vapor, Solid Construction, and 6 Hour (Heavy, Heavy, vaping) Battery Life.

I received the SD MKII last night. It's definitely sexy. (i got the black one) It has a nice cover for the atty button to keep from activating in pocket. I got a bit frustrated putting on the cap lanyard. Took me about 45 minutes, but finally got it. It feels great in my hand, much better than the Tornado. Although carrying the Tornado is much smoother. I bought the 901-510 adapter, as well as Low Res Attys. I am currently breaking it in with the stock 901 Atty. I only have about an hour Vape time right now. I will be solely vaping the SD today. I will give another update around 9pm Eastern Time. First glance, it is going to be a tight race.......

Awesome to hear, but I really cant wait to see what you think about both and which one you find to be the better of the two. Since Im trying to figure out which to order next.

Final Update:

After Vaping all day with the SD MKII, i feel as if i can accurately give an honest opinion.

- The Tornado is an amazing PV. Excellent Vaper and small enough to fit in my shirt pocket for travel. The SD MKII isn't as big as i thought it would be, (definite plus) although its not as portable as the Tornado. I'm not sure why the MKII comes with a stock 901 Atty. Although it produces great Vaper, in my short experience with it (about 3 hours), every 5th hit was very weak. (this could be due to a new atty)...i threw on the 501 adapter and Low Res Atty......WoW, what a difference. Absolutely solid, and i mean solid Vape right from the start!! (i cant wait to see what it produces 3 days from now)

The Tornado is a very solid build. Small and Tight....very concealable. I don't foresee any body problems in the future with normal use and good care. As for the SD MKII, not so much. The spring/cap does come loose, and could be easily lost. I had to tighten it 2 times already. (and to do that, it has to be disassembled.) I did put on the Cap Lanyard as I stated before, to keep the cap close by. If the cap gets lost, look-out :-x , cause it takes zero effort to activate the atty. (which is good and bad IMAO). Reading other posts, it seems the SD has to be well cared for...weekly cleaning etc..

The SD MKII gets better vape than the Tornado with the 501 adapter and LR Atty. Stock, the Tornado hits better.

Verdict:

At Home Device - SD MKII is the PV to have w/ the 501 Adapter. I can see this to be my PV of choice while driving as well.

On The Road - Hands down, The Tornado will be my Vaping Machine. Produces a lot of Vaper for such a small PV.

Hope this helps. Feel free to send me a message............

quick question blindsoup,

how does the SD perform with a std 510 attie against the tornado with a std 510 attie?

I'm trying to figure out if the £35 outlay for an SD would be worth it to me.

I already have the tornado kit and as previously noted it works at 3.1v
I was wondering if the SD hits harder as it opperates at 3.7v

In my experience, and opinion - they are very close while using the standard 510 (the SD hits a bit better)......I use the SD with the 510 adapter and a Low Res atty....It hits beautiful : Since the SD is on sale right now, it is well worth it to pick one up (IMAO)....even if you dont use the Low Res Atty. The battery life for the SD is Absolutely Amazing!! In my previous post, I stated that I would use my SD for mostly home use, but i find myself using it everywhere. It fits perfect in my hand, and I can vape all day without a battery charge. I'm not sure why they made it for a 901...the 901 is a nice change up, but is not nearly as effective as the 510. I love both of them, but i love the SD a bit more...
