Ok, so I received in the mail today a brand new Totally Wicked Mkii Screwdriver. I've taken the cap off the end so I know that's not the issue. The problem I'm having is that I seem to go no vapor whatsoever out of it. I've dripped into it several times and all I get is a burning taste with no vapor. The atty is definitely not dead as it gives off a nice orange glow when I push down the button. Any thoughts as to what I may be doing wrong?

Something doesn't sound right - what type atomizer are you using ? Now you say you drip straight down into the atty - then what ? Do you feel the nic hit, and just get no vapor ? What juice are you using ?

I have both the SD MK I and SD MK II and have never had this problem - if the atty were dead, it'd make sense, but sense you say the atty is heating up and turning red - I don't get it ?

Worse case scenario, call TW - maybe even tomorrow, but they may not be there until Monday.

The SD's are great though - very dependable and just work - and I've never popped at atty with them, and believe I've popped a bunch with other MODS.

Keep us posted !

I just re-read you post - is it a new atty - did you try blowing it out good from the connector end ( not the end mouth piece end ) it may still have some of the primer .... in it - try blowing it out real good - then heat it up for a couple of seconds once or twice and let it burn off good - then try dripping more juice in it - I'd drip around 3 drops and give it a try.

I'm using the 901 attys that came in the box. I am dripping straight down in the atty, the same as I do on my 510. 3 drops, no flavor, no vapor. I'm sure it's not the atty though since it glows nice and hot when I hold on the button. I thought that I had most of the prime fluid out of it. Would primer fluid on the atty cause it to not produce any vapor? I'm almost sure I've never had this problem with any of my 510's.

Update.... I'm getting vapor when using a cart, although it's really nasty tasting. I'm assuming this is primer burning off. Maybe that the atty was too dry. I'll post any updates unless someone comes up with something that works for me. :)

I'd give TW a call Monday morning - something just doesn't seem right - I got the exact same kit from TW and it worked perfect from day one - surely they can figure out the problem over the phone -- you say it's working on carts - strange - but yes, I'm betting the carts have the primer or something - I've never used the carts - only the 901's on the SD !

Keep us posted !

How much are you dripping into the 901's -- on the SD I drip at least 3 drops and sometimes more - can't figure this one out !

Think I finally got it going! :) It must have just been that the atty's were too dry. After putting a cart on each of them and letting it soak for a while, seems to be vaping awesome now! Still not much taste on one of the atty's but I'm going to put that one up to the primer fluid still being burnt off. Thanks for all the help!

Glad to hear that, but it's still bugging me about the 901's - that's all I use on my SD's and I've never had that problem, even with a new one - they will for sure taste funky until all that primer burns off, but after that you should be putting on clouds of vapor and getting good hits. Maybe the attys just need a little more breaking in - keep at them !

At any rate, I was stumped, so I'm glad they're working for you now.
:)
