I'm sorry should of clarified, it's 2.5, after attaching to nr wire about 2". Not bending back on itself, have no idea how to make a dual coil, lol The spool of r wire says 34gauge kanthal so maybe its mislabeled? But yeah I'm only getting 2 coils with 2" 34awg kanthal a-1 on the triple wick method. Ohming out to 2.8, I run it at 5.3voltls which is vaping great but was thinking i should have more coils around the wick.

Your measurement is off. You need to measure only the Kanthal resistant wire. Bust out your measurement tape and measure exactly 1 inch of kanthal wire and cut it. 1inch will get you 3 to 4 coils. Done right and if my calculations are right it will bring you to 1.8-1.9 ohms. perfect to vape.

I did all measurements with a tape measure but what I think I might be doing is wrapping the coil looser resulting in fewer coils. Who knows maybe the spool of wire is mislabeled, i did get it off ebay. I'll play with it some more, as I am a noob to this. At any degree, the triple wick method is simply BADASS and quite possibly the best vape Ive ever had :) For anyone who hasn't tried it yet, must now. I read where you posted its a coke vs pepsi thing, but I'm not really seeing it that way, its just better all the way around in every department! Vape is tastier, denser, throat hit is better etc..

Here's a few pics of my setup with the triple wick design. I thought the wire was 2" but was actually 1 1/4 after attaching nr wire. I was getting 2.8ohms with this according to my provari. As you can see I just wrapped two coils. The wire used was supposedly 34gauge kanthal a-1

I have a question for you. Whats your sweet spot? It may very well be that 34 gauge is not for you. 34 gauge was intended for 3ohms aping at high voltages 6v and up. With that said it doesn't mean that you cant enjoy a good vape at 2 ohms. Make a new coil, measure the resistance wire prior of cutting to 1.5 inches. then for none resistant wire same. make your coil then wrap it with 3 wicks should get you at least 3-4 coils.. wet the wick an put it on provari to measure your ohms. you should be in low 2.0-2.4ohms area. great for 4.2v-5.5v

Ok well that actually makes a lot more sense. It is 34 AWG. 1.25 inches is about 2.4 ohms(ohm meters can be off by .2 and it could be a bit more then 1/4 inch but it's close)...if it was 32 or 36 your resistance would be way different. If your connections are tight the only part that counts towards the total resistance is the part between your no resistance wires.

I'm building fairly low ohm coils, right around 1.8ohms since I started using more stuff without variable voltage. I'm using the same amount of resistance wire as you are although a different gauge and I'm getting very close to three coils around three wicks. You want to wrap snugly but not to a point were it strangles the wick. If you straighten a paper clip out and wrap the three wicks with the paper clip inserted very snugly and then slide the paper clip out when you're done wrapping it ends up a good tightness.

That being said I'm not terribly picky about the number of wraps. I haven't noticed a tremendous amount of difference between 3 coils or 5 coils. Not enough difference to worry about anyway.

My sweet spot up to this point has been running a 3 ohm boge carto at 5.3v (9.4watts) I'm going to try it again using the paper clip method ez mentions and see how it goes, thanks everyone for helping a noob out :)

Yes Setzer , exactly......my Penelope run out, I was like hum...my battery is low, not much vapor and taste , so I changed the battery and still no real vapor , well I opened her up and not even a drop of juice was left.... And never a burnt taste at all the whole time , remarkable !!!!!!

With all the vapor production she puts out, she gets thirsty ! Penny & Ody are the very best atomizer rebuildable tanks in the world... Just my honest view. :vapor:

Yes dspin, a real great friend helped me with it if you know what I mean ?

And COV with Bruce and Jusin , selling the awesome GG line of products to us and other good stuff too.
We can't go wrong , they like Imeo , are so very nice , informative and helpful. They always answer PM's and e-mails, it might take a little time. With the best customer support in the world I think.

I mean you can talk personaly to the inventor/manufacturer , the retail seller, I guess if you talk to the mail man you have it all covered....lol. :)
