You should learn to let certain things run off your back. In "real life" we don't get into people's faces or go to their bosses to complain if we don't care for their remarks. If you find it so unpleasant here, try somewhere else. You seem to be complaining about some very respected, loved, members. And, I will also say, very helpful members. If someone's sense of humor or sarcasm is not liked by you, then just ignore them. If you, as a new member, were offended, I am sorry. A very large majority of visitors here feel welcome and grateful for the help they get. Now, I have had my say. Mark has asked for the bickering to stop. Mark is right. Welcome to all new members...we are here to help you.

I meant LEAD BY EXAMPLE,and yes I do love all the older members here, and each for a different reason. Not everyone should be the same just to make you happy. That would be very boring and phony.I think there are many very interesting people here and that adds to the appeal.I totally enjoy the mixed nuts.LOL

Typically, admins or mods do not monitor the Supplier's Forum. We prefer to let guys like Mark run their own show. We will always act when there is a serious breech of forum rules, regardless of where the violation occurs.

However, to echo Mark, i also have gotten numerous PM's expressing concern about the behavior of some withIn this forum. I totally respect Mark's position. He doesn't want to be a babysitter. He has a business to run. Luckily for all of you, being a babysitter is part of what i signed up for. And now my attention has been directed here.

Trust me when i say you would rather my attention be directed elsewhere. But now that i am here, the nonsense needs to stop. This is one of the most active forums on ECF, and until recently, one with almost no trouble at all. I suggest you do what you need to do to get it back to that point or i will do it for you.

As you were...........

I haven't been here for long, but I sense that some people here have nicotine-deficient stressful moments where vaping doesn't quite compare to smoking an analog when they need cooling down (for example some people are used to relying on the head-spin effect of carbon monoxide which vaping doesn't provide). Keeping a few strong 24mg or 36mg carts aside for those stressful moments should minimize or neutralize the impact.

Just my 2 cents lol :p

I really like your thinking! :2cool:

I seriously suggest that when the insults start flying, that people report the posts because as Elendil said, we don't usually keep a close eye on the suppliers forum, unless it is brought to our attention, or we are asked to. Mark sounds like he's trying to restore some peace here, without getting people in trouble. It might be a good idea to work with him on this.

And when/if it gets too heavy in here, hit that report button because I think we all know that once the insults start to fly, they tend to snowball. So try nipping it in the bud and hopefully you won't have that problem.

You win!!

Anyone else, or shall we stop the nonsense?

This is exactly what I was trying to avoid. I'm hoping we can restore some semblance of order here, because I know if people are PM'ing me, reporting posts isn't far behind. The mods here have a job to do keeping order and whatnot. I was just trying to avoid having them have to get involved.

I'm hoping this thread will disappear in obscurity, when people realize what it means. Infighting accomplishes nothing.

This is a small sub-forum, dedicated to LIKE MINDED vapers and enthusiasts. This is NOT the real world.

We are here to:

1) Educate new vapers
2) Ask questions from experienced users
3) Recieve information on new and upcoming products related to V4L
4) Support other V4L users
5) Have a POOPLOAD of fun doing it

Think about it....if you aren't here for any of the above reasons....why are you here?

OK. Gonna weigh in here, and then disappear forever into better ethers. Ugh.

I've been happily "stung" by Lynne's wit, and I've enjoyed it - she's sharp, ironical and funny, generally spot on, and in fact extremely generous and large-hearted - I've had personal experience with that and can say no more. I love her drollery. When it's at my expense, rather especially. She cracks me up and she suffers fools as gladly as she can.
If we all have to check our wit at the front door for fear of offending those who cannot grasp or tolerate it, then I'm for another venue.
There's an ubiquitous (<-- Lynne! I made another big word!) culture that resents intelligence, and there always has been; it's especially tedious (and dangerous) when inflamed because a joke's not understood, or a sharp comment in the direction of reason is found intolerable, and it's the bully of the world. Screw it. The human community, even as represented by a little internet forum, ought not be dumbed down in order to accommodate that mob.

The bunnies and unicorns aren't highest satire, but satire in any form is more fun (and more courteous) than humorless and self-important whining and meanness, and I have never seen see that particular vice in Lynne's corner. To whom I refer directly, because this "certain person" approach is also ugly.

I'm out the back, Jack - Lynne, no more circumlocutious soporifics for you, naughty creature.

I to appreciate sarcasm and biting wit. It is my preferred method of communication, just ask the other mods. But.........not everyone understands that it is nothing personal whe. Directed at them. Especially a newer member. It is akin to a 5 year old running around with a loaded shotgun. The enjoy the loud noise, but don't understand the consequences if not used in the proper fashion.

I would expect that if someone believes themselves clever enought to utilize biting wit as a form of communication, that theynshould be well versed on when it is appropriate.

I agree with that perspective also, El.

Temperance is a nice virtue. And kindness, I think, always trumps wit.

People do have an awfully hard time with one another. Sigh. Maybe we ought to just tend to our own vices. Stygian stables, in my case, muck muck.

But the Wow chocolate is surprisingly excellent; I'd decided that chocolate just can't be done right.

"Suffering fools gladly", " a culture that resents intelligence", "the bully of the world"
