My Posts Missing or Changed? (Upgrade Issues)

The worst is the new search function. I just spent and hour trying to find what used to be simple to do... been to it before.... and finally got the best (not good) results using the advanced search with "+" trying to get closer but, still, I had to open each and every post just to find a single key word there. This just sucks and is essentially of no use as I just don't have the time required opening everything it gives me. On a forum this large with so much educational information and easy-to-use search like we used to have is critical.

you're daydreaming, mark! it's nowhere close to what it was - any new posts used to bring that thread up to the top of my first page.
and now visitor messages left are considered threads? but i'm sure we'll get used to it or find away to work around shortcomings!

Drat -- it looked like it really shuffled properly the first time I invoked it (some threads without recent posts by me, but which had newer posts by others, bumped up the list), but definitely doesn't any longer.

The activity window just leaves me scratching my head

I've been able to find everything EXCEPT the "New Supplier" posts... and that's the one I really use the most!!

the option 'insert image from computer' might have been dropped. i no longer see anything for 'attachments'

we might have to host all pics outside of ecf - tinypics, imgur, etc - that was my preferred method anyhow since the pics hosted on ecf had serious size limitations

ergh...no everything still the same. when I hit forums, I get forums. what's new still brings up the activity screen. and no classies.

They're working on the functionality of the searches. The other things can be tweaked back.

here's a wierd thing. I just got an email notification of a response on my What's New thread that Carwiden closed this morning.

this may be unrelated but, my entire internet browser just slowed down almost to a screeching stop..
I closed out windows one by one.. ecf forum was the 3rd tab that I closed.
As soon as I closed ECF forums, my internet browser sped right back up to it's usual speed. yeup. idk.

Yes, thanks... its wonderful to have My Posts back the way they were. I never realized how much I depend on that feature.

I'm still not getting a drop down on what's new. Now it goes to the forums page....

Try to click it again. Then click on New Posts and there should be a drop down. See if that works.

once you're on the main forum page, click on ''today's posts' to get the menu

careful though, true to his word sarge has been playing with the tabs
