My quest to quit analogs

Newbie to the forum here
I've been smoking analogs for about 16 years now and I'm turning 30 in the middle of November (I'm actually smoking as I type this) started with new ports then some designer, cloves, marlbro reds and settling with marlbro milds for about 8 years now (so if anyone can recomend a good substitute e liquid I'm open to suggestions)
I've been a been a pack a day smoker since I started and at my worst a 2 pack a day smoker for about 5 years
I've tried to quit in the past using the patch gum and even hypnosis but none of these methods have ever stuck.
Even tried some of the cheaper e cigs a yearago (the kind you can pick up at 7 11's) and never felt the satisfaction of an analog
After watching dozens of videos about the advances of the e cig and reviews on different ecigs out there i ordered the kgo starter kit and a couple of extra carts and e juices to get me started. The entire order costing me less than the amount I spend on analogs in 2 weeks.
Hopefully the mailman comes bearing gifts today.
I'm basically going to be using thread to track my progress in hopefully quitting analogs for good.

Well... wish me luck... btw I smoked 3 analogs in the time I took typing this

Welcome and glad to have you here. There are many, many analog quitters, who started out
just like you, with the same hopes, me included.
There are some learning curves along the way, but if you stay convicted and spend some time
learning, I am sure that you will succeed as well.
The "right" juice is probably gonna take you a little time, as the taste is so subjective to what
"you" will enjoy and deem satisfying.
Buy juice from a few different vendors, all small sample sizes, give them a try, find what you
like and go from there.
Your tastes WILL CHANGE along the way, as your taste buds and smell return after you get off
the analogs.
This won't be as easy as walking into the local 7-11 and buying your favorite pack of cigs.
BUT !!
The benefits to getting off the analogs, is soooooooooooooo worth it.
Spend time reading, learning, watching YouTube videos and just get going.
Adjust along the way with your new found knowledge, ask questions and keep the faith.
Look at my signature below. I too, started just like you.

I suggest getting a tank type unit such as EGO T or new EGO W. I use 24 and 48 mg juice. Vaping may not produce the blood levels of nicotine that analogs produce. In an analog, the tobacco cure process somehow gets the nicotine to bind to sugar which makes it transfer very effectively. That and they add ammonia. The most popular brand figured out the ammonia thing and that is why they are number one. I would never ever pickup an analog again. Vaping works, I am so happy with it. You will make it ! [ Note DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT adding ammonia to juice, it is probably fatal] .

I strongly disagree with the tank suggestion. A few like them but the forum is filled with frustration from Ego-T tank users with leaking problems, lack of flavor.... yada, yada. You did great. I get asked about my PV often in public. I share sites that sell KGOs with a short list of the supplies and juice they need. Every one of them (over two dozen) have switched from analogs to vaping with little effort using the KGO. Egos and Rivas are fine, too. Kgo has more power and the battery lasts longer and is less expensive so I'm a big fan.

Good luck heart attack. To try to answer your question, nothing will taste like and analog and you will soon find that is one of the best things about vaping. There are a lot of very good liquids and if you are like me you will drive yourself nuts trying as many as you can afford. I personally like Johnson Creek but could not stand it when I first got it (some never do). I am still waiting for my order of Backwoods brew which is supposed to be great, and next order will likely be from Kick bass vapors, also highly praised. I have tried many vendors, Halo, Viking Vapors, Vixen Vapors, etc. and all of them have some good and some not so good. In short I am answering your question with buy sample sizes to start and have fun trying until you find one you just have to have.

Hi heart attack, long term and now ex-smoker here, about 5 weeks ahead of you in the anti-analog process. :D If you ordered from one of the main PV sellers they'll likely work their ... off to get your order to you. I think its fair to say I've never experienced such good customer service from an industry as I have the PV device and juice industry. It is very much like ordering from caring individuals than corporations, and I'm loving it. (Disclaimer: have only ordered from US companies to date... none from China) You don't realize how quickly things can be ordered and delivered until you step into this world. It makes me wonder what other industries and companies are doing wrong, if I can get my devices and juices delivered to me across the country so quickly. :D

Make sure you're sitting in front of these forums when you first try out your device. We all love the instant reaction posts. :D

Best of luck HA. I just finished eight weeks as a vapor and am lovin' it. 2 PAD Ultra light smoker. There is a learning curve but stick with ECF and get answers to any issues you might have. I started with a ciggie style, upgraded to an EGO within two weeks, then added BOGE 2.0 cartomizers to get the perfect vape on. Total "analogs" in the first few weeks 3 packs. Total in the last five weeks 000000! (Those are zeros BTW). I tried every other quit option and NEVER quit wanting a cigarette Until Now. Get lots of small sample juices from well known vendors till you find your fave - mine is DoubleMint. Hope you get your kit soon!

Welcome, and best of luck on your switch! I think you'll be happy with the Kgo. There is definitely a bit of a learning curve with proper E-cigs, but believe me, with the right hardware and the right juice, you'll never even want to look at another analog. You might have to wean yourself away, or you might be able to do it on the spot. I was an on-the-spot guy, but it absolutely amazed me how well it worked. I seriously wasn't expecting it to work that well, but it did.

Be sure to check in and let us know how it's going after it arrives. We're happy to answer any questions and offer any suggestions you might want.

I'm not very far ahead of you in the whole process here - only a couple days actually. But I can tell you this - I have quit analogs many times. Never has it been like this. It was always a fight.

For what it's worth - within 24 hours of switching, I tasted an analog. OK, so I guess there's no reason to try that again. (yuck)

I'll wish you Good Luck - But I don't think you'll need it. This works!
