So my battery is dead, no charger and my delivery that was supposed to come yesterday never came.
I felt it was way to easy to go back to my usual pack a day. I'm really disappointed at myself but hopefully my supplies come in today

Sorry to hear that -- but do what you gotta do. It's no shame to have to go back, especially if it's temporary due to lack of an alternative. Hopefully your stuff will finally arrive and you'll be back vaping smoke rings in no time, though I know that wait for the charger will be agony. But it might help to know that most all batteries come with at least some charge in them so you can probably use it right out of the box while you wait for the others to charge. I know I didn't wait to charge one of the batteries when my first eGo kit arrived. ONe went on the charger, the other got assembled and immediately vaped. :)

Yup :) Bought mine at the local brick and mortar... came with 2 setups... vaped one all the way home...

whoo hoo! its here !
hello sweet sweet cantaloupe and hopefully a permanent good bye to my analogs; which i have currently have baking in the center console of my car parked out in scorching central valley heat. they should be dry and nasty in case i have the urge to smoke them.

i realized i never told the story of why i decided to make the switch from analogs to vaping

since i started smoking my family has always told me that i should try quitting. everyone has heard the speech, it's bad for you , you can get lung cancer, gives you a higher chance at heart disease (which actually has a roll in my nick name being "heart attack" but thats for another story), dangers of second hand smoke, yahdah yahdah yahdah. my father even at times would cut out articles about the danger of smoking and even pictures of lung cancer victims and their lungs and tape them to my bathroom mirror. not the best thing to see first thing in the morning but i didnt care.
i tried all the other quitting methods just so i could say that i tried and the method failed. in truth i just did not want to quit because i enjoyed smoking way too much and was miserable when i didn't.

about two weeks ago i went camping with a couple of friends and my brother. he got a little drunk and started preaching to me about why i should quit. he was going on and on about how it was bad for me, blah blah blah then he suddenly got serious. he said "if you don't quit for yourself, quit for Ethan." Ethan being my two year old nephew. "i don't want him to be visiting you in the hospital because of a stupid habit. and i dont want to try to explain to him why you even felt the need to smoke."

what he said really sparked my interest in really quitting and not just cutting back.

when i got back home, the first thing i did was go on google and search "quit smoking -pill -patch -cold -turkey -hypnosis" and some others. so of course e-cigs came up. at first i was a little apprehensive because ive tried those cheapo e cigs in the past. but under the video results i saw a thumbnail of this blonde hair guy w/ a fohawk holding what looked like a bomb detonator to his mouth. and in another thumbnail i saw a husky looking italian fellow w/ a beard holding a similar device in his hand but blowing a huge cloud of smoke. if you havent guessed who i'm talking about, these two are better known as grimmgreen and pbusardo.
i watched a bunch of their vids found ecf and thought, "wow, e cigs have come a long way since i tried them."
i remember watching grimgreen reviewing the kgo as becoming his daily carry, from their i went to hoosierecigsupply and put the kgo kit and some supplies in my cart. but before i checked out i decided to go out for a smoke or two... or three
when i got back in the first thing i hear is "TITO!" which means uncle in tagalog and is what my nephew calls me. then i see him running toward me so i pick him up and tell him to give me a kiss on the cheek. after he does this he pulls back and says "ewww... tito, you stinky." after he said that everyone had a laugh including me but when i put him down i immediately went to my laptop in my room and clicked the checkout button.

so if your eyes arent sore from reading that novel of a post, that's the story of why and how i decided to quit smoking and start vaping. not only am i doing this for me i'm also doing this mainly for my nephew.

With the right setup i think you should be able to quit smoking easily enough. In the very least slow down on the analogs

You found a grerat place to start your new adventure. Im practically addicted to vaping... and im rockin a gas station bought 510 clone almost as it came (had to slightly mod the battery to keep the quality of the vapor up)

GL!

For whatever reason you're here, glad you made it :)

Vaping is soooo very different than smoking. Smoked for 33 years, cigarettes, cigars and occasionally pipes. This is so much better and satisfying.

True, there's a bit of a learning curve and new equipment to get used to, but once that's done it's all pure enjoyment.

May you enjoy this journey :)

So I went to a club with my friends last night. To me, this was going to be my first real test for my pv because I always associated the clubs or bars and drinking with smoking.
Good news is that the entire night I didn't smoke and just vaped. Got a couple of weird looks though. I live in a relatively small town compared to a metropolis, and e cigs have not really made their mark here yet. Most of the e cigs I've seen being used here are the small ones that look like analogs. So when the bouncer saw my 510kgo I had to explain what it was and actually demo it for him. I had a vg juice in my atomizer loaded at the time and he was throughly impressed at the amount of vapor. he said that all the e cigs he's seen in the past just looked like someone out and about on a cold day.
Now for a litlle bad news, I smoked an analog this morning with my morning coffee which I basically chauk up to tradition. I've always had a cig or two or three with my morning coffee.
My goal for tomorrow is going to be to make a complete switch to vaping

I also noticed that in the past day or two I've been coughing a lot harder and more often. Really phlemy, but I was told this is just my body trying to push out all the crap I've been putting in there for the past decade and a half. Just hoping this is true and not its not an alergic reaction to the PG

We see a lot about PG allergy around here. Yes, it's possible to be allergic to it. Pretty unlikely, but possible. The likelihood goes down even more for smokers. I very seriously doubt many of us has ever had tobacco that didn't have at least some PG on it.

The whole 'allergy' thing, here and in society at large is vastly overblown, IMO. It's becoming nothing more than a buzzword.

I wouldn't worry about the cig. Just take it at your own pace. The coughing is most likely your body detoxing. Everyone goes through it to one degree or another, and how one goes through it is different for everyone. Some people get the "quit zits," oily skin (sometimes with a yellow tinge), tightening of the chest, etc. The "lung purge" is pretty common though; you'll go through a period of coughing and lots of phlegm, but it'll pass, and afterwards you'll probably find your breathing is better than it has been -- a condition that will continue to improve over the coming months. Give it a few days and see how it goes, and good luck on the total switch tomorrow. :)

Congrats to you Heart Attack for making the switch! I know exactly how you feel. I tried all the methods to quit too! Even after having a heart attack myself about 6 weeks ago, 3 days after my 46th birthday, I was smoking on the way home from the hospital, talk about lack of will power huh. My daughter moved in a couple months ago with my 2 month old grandson while her husband is in Iraq. If I didn't have all the reasons in the world to quit I don't know who does!

I have been analog free for 2 weeks now and I never thought I could do it.

It's hard to get away from those darn analogs but with vaping it made it possible for me. Hang in there.

I sometimes have a flemy feeling too but it seems to help to drink lots of liquids to help your body adjust.

So I thought i 'd share an update.
I put a order in for a silver bullet and it came in this past Saturday. The silver bullet is definatly an awesome step up from the ego style batteries. And as many veteran vapers know, a great addition to any pv collection.

As for the analogs, I'm proud to say I've been 100% analog free for the past 3 days

Just yesterday my nephew came over for dinner. After meals I usually have a desert vape of a random chocolate e juice. When I came back in my nephew ran to me and said "mmmmm..... Tito you smell yummy." Then we proceeded to watch toy story 3 which we've probably seen a hundred times, but this time he snuggled up next to me the entire movie. Usually about 10 minutes in he would move to his lounge chair. I also noticed that he would smell my hand once I a while because I accidentally spilled a little of the chocolate creme e juice while I was dripping.

I can't say that I'm never going to smoke an analog ever again, all I can say is that I'm just going to try to take it one day at a time.

Great story! He wanted to be near the chocolate smell instead of away from the stale smoke smell. :)

Having an analog when you want one? Not a big deal. That was a question I wanted to eliminate from my mind early on -- whether I could smoke without fear of getting hooked again and still being able to go back to the PV without concern. And I could. So with that pressure alleviated I just kept on vaping. Have a analog if you need an analog, vape the rest of the time. It's just nice knowing you can do that, even if eventually you quit the analogs entirely.

But congrats on 3 days! That's an accomplishment in itself. And the SB is a great choice for a PV. Stepping up to HV vaping is a huge difference. Just going from 3.7 to 4.2 on a DCC on my ProVari is like night and day -- I actually had to take a bit of time to get used to it.
