Although your response wasn't directed at me, I have to ask....do you really believe that those who vape in public are "showing off their toys"?
Sub-ohming and cloud chasing are two completely different things. Many of us began sub-ohming because at the time it was the ONLY way to achieve the watts we wanted. Some of us just love the more efficient nicotine delivery and warmer vape. And personally, I've always enjoyed the sensation I got when filling my lungs with smoke. Low ohm equaled higher wattage equaled a better sensation similar to smoke filling my lungs.
I don't mind blowing a cloud from time to time but I am VERY conscious of where and when I would do it. Personally I shy away from doing it in public and kind of cringe when I see others do it. Not everyone wants to walk through my wall of fog and invading their personal space. It can be off putting to people and turn them away from what we are trying to accomplish.
In short, what you do and what you like is your business. Just be respectful to other people. Outside of that ... to each their own.
And I the same except...That's because you're not Windexrunner, and that's the point.
I'm an extrovert, so I do pay attention to what others around me are using. From the car you drive, to the socks you have on, I'll notice.
I remember being like McGill and wanted a hot vape, but decided that might not be in my best interest.
I remember wanting the huge cloud, but decided that wasn't in my wallets best interest.
Everyone needs to find what they like for their own reasons. I can only say what I like, and what my reasons are.
Personally I would much rather get 3 hits/drop than use up 3 drops of liquid/hit. Have a battery last all day instead of a couple of hours.
I refuse to use ICR or LIPO batteries. Use a 10 cent wick & coil instead of a $5 replacement head. DIY my liquids at 6 cents/ml instead of buying my liquids at 60+ cents/ml.
So what it boils down to is that I took the time to LEARN HOW to get the vape I want with a 2 ohm coil at 2 amps instead of a 0.2 ohm coil at 20 amps .

trust me, no one is thinking of anything but themselves and their own stuff.
For the most part Andria, but I really wish the folks that don't do this, did this![]()
Hmmm... I seem to be experiencing that phenomenon called the brain fart... I can't for the life of me puzzle out your meaning. Text is so limited in expression, it can be a real challenge sometimes.
In any case... I really wish more people *would* notice the vaping; I neither hide it nor do it in places that I deem to be either inappropriate or unwelcome, or both. I've occasionally asked 'do you mind...?' and no one ever does. Maybe it's a southern thing. Strangers might occasionally say a word or two to one another, hi, hello, or whatever is appropriate to the situation, but people don't do that 'getting in your face' thing, pretty much no matter what you do -- unless you actually do something to active piss them off (run into them in traffic, etc), then yeah, they might, but otherwise, not really. Someone with blue or green hair would probably get stared at a lot, but that's about it. But I'm starting to run into more and more vapers "in the wild," so maybe people are just over it already -- all except the ANTZ of course. They're not too popular around here, because until recently, smoking was (and still is to some extent) very popular in the south.
Read it again just now and I agree my statement was a bit confusing
To paraphrase, you said more or less that most people mind their own business. I said more or less that I wish everyone did.
Now, if I would have said it that way in the first place it would have been much clearer![]()
We are pretty relaxed up here too however smoking is considered a negative thing by most people. I wish more people would notice the good side of vaping rather than the bad, but I think that's coming. It takes time to educate the public and after that you still have to convince politicians that it's in their best interests to change policies.
