i really enjoyed my first attempt at making NET flavors using a maduro cigar. i decided that i would try my favorite pipe tobacco. this is known only as "proper English blend" at my local pipe / cigar store. it might be peter stokkebye 52 im not really sure. it as a lot of latakia, a type of tobacco known for its strong smokey, peppery taste but this blend also offers a bit of a creamy and smooth texture. so this should be interesting to see how it turns out. i went with PG this time. it will carry the flavor better than VG and i like having a bit of PG in my DIY juice.
i used a 1/3 cup its stainless. i filled the cup a little more than half full of tobacco then used just enough PG to cover all of the tobacco. and a plastic fork for mixing and grinding.
i covered it with tin foil and moved it to a warm but not hot place. its about 80 degrees F in the spot it is in. tomorrow i will raise the temp and filter it. i have read a lot about people saying that dark (fermented) tobaccos do not work as well. but i find they let them steep to long.
for anyone who wants to my see my first attempt here it is..

UPDATE: its almost done! the 80 degrees for a few hours really did the trick. gonna start filtering it in a bit. wish me luck. (i figured it would take over night at least) i knew it was done when i pealed back the tin foil to check it and all i could smell was latakia. not bad for 4 hours at 80 degrees F.
its done. thinking the PG made a big difference in the steep time. this juice is absurdly strong smelling / tasting. it does taste exactly like the real thing however..
