She could be sensitive, but it does dissipate so quickly I wouldn't think there would be enough to bother her. I suppose you could test it by stealth vaping so she doesn't see you and see if she "reacts".

I have a nut case mom (not really, she is a sweetie, but very anti smoking) and I never smoked in front of her. I don't vape in front of her either, but let me tell you, it is so much easier now that I vape. I just step away for a minute and take a few puffs. Sometimes it just isn't worth the aggravation. ;)

The only way I can see it bothering her is if you pinned her to the floor and blew the vape in her face.
If you were, that wasn't very nice of you!

And since I have a feeling you weren't, it's probably psychological, but don't push it cause I know how whiny siblings can be, even if they are your favourites (my brother keeps telling me I need to get down to 0 mg, I started with 36's and have been vaping for about a month-ish now).

I'm sorry you can't vape around her, but vaping in the bathroom isn't so bad :3

Where do you guys think the PG goes? just because the vapor is not apparent in the air doesn't mean that the pg has completely disappeared....i'm betting she has a strong sensitivity to pg

This could very well be the case NickJuice.
I was curious to know if this has happened to others. And from the responses, it seems to be pretty uncommon.....but, of course not impossible!!!
Thanks everyone!!:)

She could've been cetching a cold, been allergic to someone's perfume, or something in the hotel room, i.e., air freshener, carpet cleaner, or other product the maid's used, or any number of things, But I highly doubt it was from your pv, or else she wouldn't have continued coughing all day after the pv was removed from her presence,(just my 2 cents).

Whatever the case, I think it's great you can get away with your sisters like that, just do what ya gotta do to enjoy it! :)

I get very similar around 1 of my brothers, he is sensitive to either the PG, Nicotine, or just messed up when he sees the vapor, cause, it seems to be ONLY when he see's be doing HUGE hits.

Bottom line, I feel for ya Brother;)

Enjoy

and thank you for sharing

Is it possible that as an ex-smoker - "seeing" you vaping makes her think about a cig and makes it difficult for her? Also - there didn't seem to be a problem when you were stealth vaping so is it possible that maybe she is sensitive to it, but because there wasn't a "cloud" floating towards her due to stealth mode that it didn't cause a problem then? Maybe most of it was absorbed and didn't leave enough in the air for a reaction?
I would find that difficult to believe in such and enclosed space but you never know.

My granddaughter has asthma also. We never smoked in the house when she was here but she didn't have a problem walking through the smoke when we were outside. I took her out last week and before we left the car to go shopping I vaped a bit and blew the vapor out of the window. By the time we reached the store she had a case of hives. Was it the vapor? don't know, won't vape in her presence again to find out. We also had to eliminate the fog machine from our Halloween decorations because a small trick-or-treater had a coughing fit when he got close to the fog. BUT it does seem weird that your sister had the cough the following day. I tend to believe that if it were the vapor, it should have cleared up within the hour.

Yay California the land of the nuts and the flakes! I can say that cus I'm a Native, but oh man the cologne and perfume some of these folks wear is enough to choke a maggot! Give me cig smoke anytime ;)

Yes, that's just about it. The non or ex smokers out here are particularly rabid about the cigs. They hate you if you smoke, I swear I've seen murder in some of their eyes, even if you're a mile away trying to hide from them to get your fix.

My husband, who is less than enthusiastic about my Janty Stick (looks dumb) said that my vapor smelled bad in the car the other night.
I have lived with him a long time, so was ready for it....I held my wrist up to his nose, and asked if that was what he was smelling. He said yes, it was kind of disgusting. (I use tobacco flavored juice, VG.) I said what does it smell like? He didn't know, but it was disgusting. I sat back in the seat and quietly laughed to myself. I had just gotten done putting some "apple" fragranced hand lotion on. I vaped on.
So, your sister could have just been being prudish, I daresay, just because she saw the vapor. It automatically invokes personal distaste of anything unknown, without any latitude given for the needs of a loved one. She could have just got a whif of some germ killing spray or something, or of someone's perfume.
My sister-in-law has asthma, very seriously, and on purpose took a deep whif of my vapor, with no reaction whatsoever, as a test. I loved her for doing that, because she felt bad about me going outside on her behalf. She insisted on doing that because her own daughter wants to start using an e-cig, she was curious about any smell or possible irritation. She was as surprised as I was that she had absolutely no negative reaction, not then or later. I still don't vape when she's around. But one could still have aversion to some flavored juices, perfumes, or home deodorizers, etc., there are times when allergic reactions can lead to lung irritations and asthma symtoms. Or a riled up sister.
