Apparently my son is smoking analogs again, as he came over last night, and after smoking in my office, he left the pack AND a lighter. So I am now finishing off his pack, as I am weak. He knows I would never buy them for myself at this point, but he hates to see me in withdrawal from the smoke and other toxins found in analogs. He thinks he is being 'kind' by doing this. Aurgh! Gotta love your children. (I am 44 and he is 27.)

I'm curious, what equipment do you vape on and what strength nic? I've been in this about 2 months and just really haven't had the desire for analogs.

Maybe the trick is to get him to switch too ;-)

I got a sampler pack @ 24mg, and a 1oz bottle @36mg, so I go between them. And I think that his initial interest in vaping was for my sake, he wanted to be positive for me about a change I am making in my life.

Once you find some juices you really like, you shouldn't have any problems wanting an analog over a vape. My husband still smokes and leaves his sitting all over the place. I even have to buy them for him. It's no longer any temptation for me. But, if you'd like him to stop, you could always tell him the next time he leaves his cigs sitting around, you'll take and soak them.:D That worked for my husband back before I started vaping.

Something stronger in flavor perhaps but the nic seems more than adequate. Some folks find that Whole Tabacco Alkaloids (WTA) helps immensely with cravings. Hope you find something tasty. I have a hard time being around folks who are smoking. I can't breath properly in that environment; I find my self takin' short breaths and feelin' miserable. Don't give up! Your health is at stake.

Ok, not the first time I read mention of this, so I will look into it, thanx.

Edit: Ok, my local juice supplier, Tasty Vapor, says that their tobacco flavor contains Whole Tobacco Alkaloids, so I will give that a try. Thanx.

I hope this works out for you! And hey maybe I will see you there! I've been wanting to go there and now I know they have WTA juices I HAVE to get my greedy little hands on some! :D
Happy vaping! Hope your son comes around to vaping,I am 28 and am so thankful to be a vaporer :D

Heh…I'm the opposite. If I saw my dad smoking again, I'd probably buy him a duplicate of my setup.

That being said, he quit when he found himself in the hospital with a heart thing. He smoked for like 50 years before that (started when he was 11).

Unfortunately, that means I'd have to admit to him that I smoked. I'm not sure if he never knew or if we had a don't ask/don't tell policy that I wasn't in on.

Tolver, put that kid in time out!!! I'm 27 and just started vaping. Pretty much every adult member of my family is/was a smoker with the exception of my parents. I can't wait to tell my 84 yr old Grandmother that I'm smoke free. She was a heavy duty chain smoker until she was hospitalized during her 60th birthday because of colon cancer and lost a quite a few feet of her intestine. Among other health problems over the years.

I hope you're able to put the analogs down for good when you find something that works for you.

equipment makes a huge difference. it seems like a waste of money but keep trying different setups until you find one that really gives you what you want. ans maybe even nix the idea of completely quitting the butts ...for now

ive been vaping for about 2 weeks now and just letting vaping take over on its own time. ive gone from 2 ppd to 7 butts yesterday and then just 5 today. i still want butts....i just seem to want vaping more and more.

be your own cheerleader here. "i havent smoked 100 cigs! thats awesome!" feels much better than "i had a cig...damn i screwed up"

feeling good for you is way more motivating than beating up on yourself.

It helps to keep a separate super-strong one for emergencies. Even one of those disposables like the BarFly (they're pretty nice). We usually vape 8mg juice. My wife occasionally breaks down if there's a very stressful situation, and has a cig. If I leave a ready to go super-nicotine loaded unit around, she reaches for that first.

I use 'Sucralose' to make the juice taste better, here is a link ...

Welcome to Tasty Vapor

The Lethal Science Of Splenda - A Poisonous Chlorocarbon

here's a link too. Don't use sucralose (Splenda) that crap is toxic. On top of being chlorinated sugar (a chlorocarbon) it is only 98% pure with the other 2% containing such things as arsenic, heavy metals, and methanol. Proof here: The Potential Dangers of Sucralose (Splenda)

My best advice is don't eat and and DEFINITELY don't vape it. Chemically similar to DDT? Vaping lead, arsenic, etc...? No thanks.

The website you are quoting, Red Ice Creations , claims that the mars rover photographed itself crash-landing on mars, that the homosexual agenda is to take over the world, that aliens seeded the primordial earth with life, and that humans are going to evolve into gods at the end of 2012. Really, I have a hard time believing anything written on the pages of that website. I will go with what Wiki says about Sucralose...

Sucralose - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The answers are out there if you look. Besides, I did give you two sources and a google search will give you 1000 more. If you didn't like my choices then select a couple of your own. Sucralose isn't awesome stuff, and I definitely wouldn't be vaping it.

Edit: I looked into these allegations against REDICE that you made and I see only that they have like some kind of weird radio station. Did you listen to that at work or something? I'd play some weird stuff too if it got me ad money. I don't think that hosting one crazy guy makes you an unbelievable source.

I can't find anything negative about that site, yet you do? Proof please. And wikipedia doesn't count considering Splenda can hire people to remove anything bad about it that they want. I didn't read any of the other articles in detail but a cursory skim seems that they are a reputable scientific source.
