Same boat with my SD. He smokes 1-2 PAD camel no filters. I have given him info and tobacco juices to try. He is not ready or does not want to give it a real go. I planted a seed. Now I have to step back and let it be. He can be stubborn and is very set in his ways and that is his right.

My advice would be to back off. He has the info he needs and knows where to get more. If you let it be for a bit he may come around on his own. Let it be HIS decision (he needs to be in control of this). The more anyone is harrassed and haraunged, the more resistant they will become to any idea.

I second this advice. I was only about a 10 year smoker but I was still against the idea of PVs when I first heard about them. This might be because a friend of mine(a constant salesman, who always has a new idea) tried to push them on me. I quickly ignored his sales pitch, although I probably shouldn't have. It was at least a year later that I looked into it myself, stumbled across this site, and learned the many benefits of this new hobby. Smokers are stubborn. Everyone(even a smoker) knows that cigarettes are harmful, so repetition of the health risks won't convince them. Just making the information available, and demonstrating the benefits as you get healthier, might be your best chance.
